I agree with the slogan...but it's taken hold for sure.
Quite possibly THE most generic cheer in sports

I kind of wish they could have won one in Hemisfair Arena.
That would have been awesome. I don't really remember the HemisFair, though. Just have pictures of me there as a toddler.

Nothing special...just an old school arena with obstructed view seats downtown by the tower. A no frills place...

That's where the baseline bums started, right?

Yeah...some good stories floating around about that place. I know the place was closed out with a Barkley game winner in the playoffs.
I think there was an incident where fans threw guacamole on Larry Brown...I read about it but it's still cloudy to me.

I've heard similar. I do know they had a reputation for being a rowdy crowd, though. SA's crowd has always been ridiculously underrated.

Our boys are playing some fantastic basketball right now...as usual this time of year.

They are. It's great to see.
Interested in seeing how Pop chooses to navigate the remainder of the schedule.

As long as we can keep a little cushion between us and OKC we can hopefully rest some guys a game or two here and there.

It's really going to depend on how hard OKC decides they want to push for the #1 seed. I don't think Pop will try too hard beat them in our final head to head matchup, and I honestly expect him to throw a game against one of the other contending teams coming up.
We'll see though. In spite of the limited minutes for several players, the team keeps stepping up to win.

San Antonio defeats Denver again, this time 133-102 for their 16th consecutive victory. Marco Belinelli led the Spurs with 27 points, while Timmy Duncan had 20.
The Spurs scored over 30 points in every quarter.

That year was so special. I was 10 years old, living in Universal City, and remember how that lame old "Go Spurs Go" slogan just took hold of the city Good times.
I was six years old growing up in Austin and that season was when I really fell in love with the Spurs

Spurs tie the franchise record for longest regular season winning streak by winning their 17th in a row, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 96-80 in San Antonio.
Anthony Davis missed the game due to injury, greatly affecting the tenor of the game.
Marco Belinelli once again led the Spurs in scoring, this time with 18 points.

He is one of the reasons i believe this team can win the Finals. I think it is great for the team psyche, after the heartbreaking loss last year, to have an addition as valuable/consistent as him. Gives the team confidence that they have not only improved individually but the roster has as well

Huge upgrade over Gary Neal (and I loved Neal). Much more consistent shot and better defense. Plus, he's in the "Manu" mold--the telepathy those two have while on the floor together is astounding

Big game @ Indy coming up Monday night.
Have a feeling the streak finally ends this week, but hopefully they continue to play well.
