I agree with him.
At the rate I'm going, sitting on the couch watching a few games here and there. I won't be surprised if I'm not on the ballot next year.

That’s what museums are for, ya dummy
Well isn’t the Hall of Fame exactly that. A museum.

Drew belongs, he was among the elite receivers in those days, he along with Tony Hill was Dallas' Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. He posted solid numbers for those times playing with old Roger and Dandy Don I think, I forget how many 1000 yard seasons he had before Tony Hill became a Cowboy.
But those times weren't a passing sideshow like it is today. shite, I think old Sterling Sharpe will get in one day because they'll feel sorry for him having what probably would have been a HOF career cut short by a really bad injury. They let Denver RB Terrell Davis in, so, Sharpe will get in too.

frick all y'all.
If he'd been elsewhere than Detroit he probably has a couple super bowl wins
There is no way to know this.
Let’s take 2 QBs who played for historically bad franchises.
Drew Brees helped take the historically bad Saints to a Super Bowl championship
Stafford took the historically bad Lions and made them just slightly better.
One belongs in the HOF, the other is a stat machine. A good QB without doubt but not HOF worthy

Pro Bowls mean jack shite as long as they are fan voted. Not a single member of the #1 defense in the NFL made the Pro Bowl this year. That's absurd.

but he’s been a top 5 qb who’s been wasted in Detroit.
Based on what exactly?

Look I’m not saying Stafford is the best, but he’s been a top 5 qb who’s been wasted in Detroit.
He’s not even a top 5 QB of his era. If he was, he would have made the lions better.

David Ortiz just got in. He was a proven cheater.

Come on. He wasn’t the reason they won. Hell, had they lost, he would have been the main reason.

He only has one pro bowl b/c he was trapped on Detroit for so long. It’s not like he’s been mediocre this whole time and suddenly had an outlier year.

Prime Tom Brady wouldn’t win shite w/Detroit. It’s a trash franchise.

Stafford has been to the probowl as much as Mitch Trubisky.
Doesn’t say much. Lamar Jackson made the pro bowl this year with more deserving players in front of him. It’s all become a popularity contest.
Right. Only 3 QBs get picked per conference. Stafford a whole career he’s had to deal with Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, Ryan, Cam, Romo/Dak, Cousins, and even Eli for a bit.
I’m a big supporter of Lamar’s but he didn’t deserve the Pro Bowl this year. His stats didn’t warrant it (granted the Ravens were playing with an XFL squad most of the year) but really all of these all star rosters are fan popularity contests anyways. At least the NFL doesn’t base theirs on less than half a season like the other big 3 do.

Sam Mills doesn't deserve to be in, but here we are. 5 Pro Bowls and 3 All Pro.
Its the Pro Football Hall of Fame, not the NFL Hall of Fame.
He was 3X All USFL and 2x USFL Champion and is a member of the USFL’s All-Time Team.

If you’re going to make these comparisons, make reference to the fact that drew Brees had Sean Payton, while Stafford had Jim Swartz, Jim Caldwell and Matt Patricia.
And the Saints roster at any point in the Brees era was way better than any single lions team Stafford played on.
I mean SP at one point was an offensive guru while 2 of those three coaches are defensive guys and all are sub .500 lifetime. This is apples and oranges.
Maybe Stafford doesn’t belong in the hall but put him with SP and he’s just as good as Brees ever was.

Not to mention if we're being honest with ourselves, the Saints weren't really that trash when Sean Payton was going in. They got their first playoff win vs the Greatest Show on Turf Rams in 2000 and stayed around .500 each season until the Katrina year which was just a crazy year where there were relocation talks before the hurricane happened and they never had a real home field to go to so they went 3-13 which was abnormal for the Haslett Saints. If it wasn't for that and Haslett allegedly knocking up a Saintsation the Saints may have not even been looking for a new coach at the time.
