Michigan hasn’t won a national title since the 40s, southern cal’s last national title trophy they kept was from the 70’s, and Notre Dame has had one relevant season in the last 30ish and got embarrassed in the title game (which they never should have been in).

Who would have taken Notre Dame’s place in the title game in 2012? Notre Dame had, by far, a better resume than everyone else in consideration.

And ND was in the playoffs not three months ago. And maybe my eyes were deceiving me, but ND played Clemson tougher than alimighty Bama did.

And ND could probably claim the 93 title legitimately.

And Michigan gets the 97 title, no matter how much I hate them.

Your take on SC is ludicrous. It’s still probably the best job in all of college football with a competent administration.

Or maybe just to try something different and Win at a different school. I’m actually surprised more top coaches don’t do that. They do it other industries

We aren't doing scandals.

If I were to have to hire another SEC coach today, I think it would be Kermit Davis.

You do know that Kermit has put not one, but two schools on probation during his tenures as a HC right?

Same reason people see Michigan, Notre Dame and USC as destinatiin jobs in football, history. None of those jobs are premier anymore.

As for Notre Dame and USC...

Notre Dame has had a whopping 567 of the program’s players have played in the NFL. No school has produced more pros. The next team on the list, USC, has produced 510.

Schools with the most Hall of Famers:
Notre Dame (13)
Southern California (12)
Ohio State (10)
Michigan (9)

Michigan will soon be 10 when Brady retires.

Those schools just don't stop being destination jobs with some bad years.

shite Cal’s pretty much done that in just 10 years at Kentucky but everyone acts like he’s done nothing.

I do think he would entertain the idea of going to UCLA though.

For language sake:

quote:

John Calipari @UKCoachCalipari Before I go to bed, let me just say this: I’m coaching at the Univ. of Kentucky. In my opinion, there is no better job in the world to coach basketball. My plan and my desire is to retire at Kentucky. I think the university feels the same as I do and we’ve talked openly about it.

Probably gone to the Lakers but safe for now.

UCLA is too liberal for Calipari. If he goes he won’t last more than a couple of years.
