She started the conversation about athlete privilege, that is commendable.

I would have seriously dropped out of college if I had to earn my degree during these times.

Some crazy person can ruin your life over nothing.

She's playing 3D chess

Honestly, I don't really believe that. Once they said the "friend" was actually a boyfriend of hers, pretty easy to see what happened

Thornton, who identified herself in her statement on Friday, said she lost faith in the justice system following the lack of charges against Anderson. She said Anderson had digitally penetrated her while they were in her bedroom and said she was unable to consent to what happened because of her level of intoxication.

WTH?

Prosecutors said Thornton told them in a written statement after her initial report that she and Anderson had exchanged phone numbers when he left and noted texts messages from Thornton “suggested” to the RB that they hang out again.

She needs to do time & have to make a public apology

I don't think the punishment for falsely coming forward should be quite as harsh, as sexual assault, but something needs to happen in that case as well.

That way, you'll have far less people falsely come forward and people will begin to trust the people that come forward more.

People who sexually assault women suck. So do people who make up allegations. You're making the people who sexually assault women more likely to get away with it in the future.

Wait, what?

What about the guy who was committed to USC and spent years in jail ruining his life, only to later admit she made it all up.

You legit don’t think she spend the equivalent amount of time behind bars?

IMO, she should receive the following punishment:

5 years in prison
Dishonorable discharge
Lifetime ban from OU campus

Some judge somewhere needs to make an example that this kind of shite will not be tolerated

His name is Brian Banks, IIRC. That was one of the most fricked up stories I can remember, and yeah she should have absolutely done equal prison time.
