Remember when a team went all in and leveraged their future for a average qb in matt Stafford.
Also throwing the sink on to get obj and von miller. If they dont get the trophy this year they wont get it. The Saints aren't cash strapped as people think and have draft capital. The saints missed the playoffs because matt Stafford is trash.

I like how cocky you are for a guy who said Justin Herbert wasn’t worth a top 50 draft pick.

They may have the greatest defensive player of all time in his prime. You sell out for that window. They also are paying for top talent typically like the best CB in the NFL.

Saints are also over the cap by, like, 72 million in 2022. They’re about to gut their roster and their coach is about to leave. Yikes.

I think the Rams will live like that. They will trade away draft picks for established players and sign older free agents. They will be in perpetual win now mode. I think that’s their model

Is there anything wrong with that?

I bet you Brady is looking at Von Miller coming at him wondering “only a 2nd round pick for that guy??”

Not really. But everyone can’t do that. I think they are using the Lakers model of big names and big trades. And they are in a big market to attract players.

Saints had some big injuries this year. Not too many NFL teams can survive losing their starting qb

We missed it because Trevor Simien was trash, and we had a whole team of COVID cases at the wrong time

Didn't Jameis lose to the giants? Again, everyone else's fault but the team.

We were over it by more last season and only lost 2 players I would call valuable (Sanders and Hendrickson). Our beat writer already put out an article on how we can get under the cap without cutting anyone. The salary cap is a myth and y'all keep falling for it.

Weird melt since the Saints were playing with a practice squad team half of the year and still almost made the playoffs while LA traded 18 first rounders to try to win this year. Not to mention there will be more 9ers fans at the game next week because LA doesn’t have fans. They should still be in St Louis.

I remember when SFP told me that they wouldn’t miss a beat with all of their off-season personnel losses and I told him they wouldn’t make the playoffs. He then did a multiple post thesis about how and why I was wrong.

We nearly made the playoffs after being displaced from home for the first month of the season, having a nfl record number of starters, and having our starting QB go down. But sure, we didn't make the playoffs cause of "off-season personnel losses"
