Now that all the conference tournaments are complete and regional host sites selected, it’s time to see where the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns land. Latest projections have them headed to Starkvegas, but we will know for sure at 11.

It’s time for the”it’s good for the state” crowd to get behind the Cajuns and hop in the bandwagon.

Calling it now...Yale is going to be a dangerous 4 seed vs. somebody because of their No. 1 SP, Jack Ohman (son of former 10-year MLB pitcher Will Ohman).

D1 Baseball projection has Cajuns as a 2 seed going to UCLA.

I think if they are a 3 seed they'll either get sent to Mississippi State or Texas A&M.

I believe the last time the Cajuns went to the #1 overall seed, it worked out well for them.

Yeah, that 5 and a quarter era looks intimidating

The Cajuns might have actually screwed themselves if they end up the 32 overall team paired with UCLA. They would have been better a 3 seed anywhere else

His stuff is good enough to go against the SEC or ACC. Mid to upper 90s fastball and slider. Hit a mid-season funk for a couple of starts that blew up his ERA.

Little surprised State got to host. I get it, RPI RPI RPI, but only winning 4/10 conference series and stacking wins against the bottom of the league doesn't feel like a top 16 type of season.

That all boils down to money. Arkansas has the better resume, it’s not particularly close either. Outside of RPI, it isn’t compared.

I’m sure his stuff is good, but he has a 7+ era in conference and is walking or hitting a batter every inning and a half.

I can’t find his game log. I’m sure he capable, but doubt he’s anything that a 1 seed doesn’t see on any regular weekend.

You have a good point. His stuff is not gonna blow any Top 4 national seed away. It's one of those 50/50 deals where Yale hopes he comes out and can get his breaking stuff over in early innings to at least keep them from sitting on the fastball.
He might get blown up or might turn in a solid 5-6 innings.

Really hope we get Auburn, Alabama, or Florida State. Don't think we have ever been there and it would be nice to go east again. Went to Miami in 2023. I always knew, but it rains non-stop in South Florida in June. So many delays.

I will take literally any regional but Texas A&M. Tired of going there and losing even though their stadium is awesome.

2022 was a great experience, almost had them in that 1-0 game, was up until the 7th inning. 2024 was also fun to go over there and end UT's season.

The only campus I have been to out of those 3 is FSU. It's a pretty compact campus for a P4 school...so not hard to get around. And it's usually a little more breezy and spring temps.

I wouldn't mind Yale going there. (FSU).

Since the flagship is out, I guess I’ll pull for ULL.

UCLA should get the easier regional as the #1 seed.
