Reality of WNBA and our overlords trying to force feed this to us

The reality is the following
The reason that the WNBA has such low ratings are as follows
1) quality of basketball is not elite. No one wants to watch people play a sport like you can watch at the YMCA or via a good high school team. We want to see elite athletes do super human things, I.e jump higher/ run faster than we mortals can actually do. Watching layups and vertical jumps of 3-4” is something I can do at 40.
2) In America sex sells. If you are going to want us to watch women sports en masse then the product has to have some sex appeal. These women are UGLY. They are butch dikes.
Americans will watch women sports. See women’s beach volleyball during the Olympics. Those always get really high ratings. Why? Because the chicks are hot as Frick, and they wear their underwear on the beach while playing their sport.
This is the reality of the WNBA.

Yep. Gymnastics and figure skating are popular because the chicks are in shape and generally good looking. Lexi Thompson gets views and Nelly Korda has a nice donk

Same when State went to back to back championship games and beat UConn in the semis. I turned it on for maybe 3 minutes. shite was awful.

So many WNBA posts where people feel the need to say they don't care but post about it.

It will fall back into its hole soon. Clark is carrying that league and her hype is dying already. Angel Reese and most of the others are so unlikeable, even the force-fed content won't keep it in the public eye at this level. In the end, nobody but a select few actually care about that shitty league.

The amount of people that have to post that they don't care about the WNBA is staggering. Just don't watch, don't consume the product.

It’s a tough spot
-the product is easily substandard to the men’s. Ignoring the classic could women compete with men - the difference in style of play is just tremendous and becomes unappealing in a different way then many sports
-a lot of the players were drilled with a “screw everyone the world is out to get you” attitude that as a fan is tiring. You can have villains but you need far more heroes. Imagine if they embraced “just really grateful for everyone investing in building something here” instead of “how dare society not give us more” as a narrative
At some level fans want to hear about how amazing the league is and not flights sucking and pay sucking and… go play a great game and celebrate your star players and revenues can grow.

I think there is no shortage of people doing that. This isn’t the masses tuning into 4 games a week every single week and complaining like the nfl.
This is currently much more like people happening to be driving by an accident and saying they are unsympathetic based on the people involved
