Can you really call someone a bust after one year?

No

But for the purpose of this thread, let’s just say who was the biggest bust this year

My vote is Andrew Thomas

I mean if we are being completely honest. Herbert is younger and had best rookie qb season ever?? So he would go number 1

The Cincy paradox would create a never ending loop of regret.

but we don't think the bengals consider taking a guy who was awesome, is younger,

Burrow is 15 months older. That’s not enough to be a factor.

Um that would be Burrow until his luck with the turnstiles ran out.

It’s helps not being on the worst team in the league.

Queen

wat? Queen has been one of the top 4-5 odds on favorites for DROY all season. Chase Young has obviously run away with it now, but Queen still has the 3rd best odds at +900 (Young is at +200). He has 106 tackles, 1 INT, 2 FF, 2 FR, 3 Sks, 9 TFL, and 1 TD as a rookie MLB and he's one of the bigger busts of the 1st round?

It’s so odd because he’s got good stats, is a top DROY candidate (i assume he’ll be a DROY finalist?)

And his PFF rating is awful

Who knows, but we're talking about a guy that was a backup linebacker at LSU until last year and really didn't lock up a starting spot until the middle of the year last year when Divinity got hurt. So he's still pretty raw, but to be producing like he is as a rookie at a spot like MLB and say he's been a bust is a little ridiculous to me. Not to mention the dude was recruited as a 4 star RB out of high school just a few years ago.

I'll give the guy Chaisson. He did virtually nothing this year.

I have to eat some major crow

I thought Young would suck and would be absolute dog shite
And I thought Thomas was a sure fire first team All Pro from his rookie season

I will list those who I thought disappointed compared to their expectations (not calling anybody a bust after year 1):
Chassion
Okudah
Ruggs (should have never been first receiver off board)
Kinlaw
Reagor (didn’t really like him coming into the draft, not looking good for him out the gate)
Isaiah Wilson, for obvious reasons.

Now for guys who exceeded expectations:
Lamb
Jefferson
Becton
Wirfs
Aiyuk
Queen
Herbert (not that I thought he was going to bust, but I don’t think anybody predicted the season he just had)

Does the redraft take into consideration that Burrow blew his knee out because of cincy having a terrible offensive line? If you swap him out for Herbert I think Burrow puts up even better numbers than Herbert did in San diego with what Burrow would have to work with in San Diego. He was having a great season with that shitty of a team. Its just like if Barry Sanders would have been on Dallas running behind that offensive line vs Emmitt Smith having to play on that Lions team.

If you don't think any team without a top 5 QB takes Hebert or Burrow over Young even knowing how this year played out, I don't know what to tell you.

Joe Burrow the same

Burrow will never be a good NFL QB. He will get injured one or two more times for the browns, never be the same, and end up a career backup somewhere.
