I think I'd put 1 or all of your 3-5 ahead of 2002 OSU vs Miami.

Although i might need to go watch that game again to be sure.

Yeah, the nostalgic factor may have come into play for my ranking of the Miami/OSU game. I was a freshman in high school and that was one of the first “big games” I remember closely watching.

Was the game that great?

I'll definitely watch it sometime soon.

2nd half of Aubz/FSU in 2013/2014 was awesome.

Double OT.

Huge underdog, controversial ending of regulation, gobs of NFL talent on both teams.

The ending is what is throwing me off. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

OSU's QB was 7 of 21 for 122 yards 0 TDs and 2 picks.

Clarett ran 23 times for 47 yards. McGahee ran 20 times for a 3.4 yard average.

I'm all for defensive battles. It just seems like that game was kept close by poorly timed turnovers and the inability to move the ball on the ground or something.

Then topped off with a bad call at the end.

That was a great game, but it didn’t make my top 5 because it didn’t really feel like a game between two juggernauts. AU won via miracle two times that year and FSU’s schedule was weak.

Yeah, if they had called that hold the game would've ended in regulation with Ohio State winning 17-14.

I've never seen a more electric game than the 2006 Rose Bowl.

The star power, the setting the Rose Bowl, the winning-streaks, Keith Jackson's last game...the stars on the side-lines.

That was almost more than a CFB game, it just had this rockstar feel and to make it even better both teams played mostly up to potential and delivered...there were a lot of points but it felt like all of them were hard-earned.

Just fantastic football.

I recall Ohio st/Miami being pretty boring for most of regulation.

I don't remember that missed holding call. I do remember the incredibly awful PI call though. And Mcgahee's flailing leg after he shredded his knee.

Yet another reason this game is overrated

It was before replay. They missed a catch on a critical third down by Ohio State that would have ended the game in regulation.

It was on a third down toward the end of the game. I think it was Ohio State's last possession in regulation, but I'd have to go back and watch it. On the same play, they miss an obvious holding call and completely fricked up the call on a completed pass. Either of those being correct gives Ohio State a first down and ends the game.

I remember a great call that they almost didn't make...again.

The call was subsequently validated by the National Association of Sports Officials, and was also selected by Referee Magazine as one of the "Best 18 Calls of All Time."

It's easily top 2. Deal with it.

Looking back, I concede my original opinion. My 12 year old mind had not yet been developed.

Are you talking about this holding no call?

Bro, what are you talking about, that is NOT holding.

eta: I see that you meant a missed defensive holding. Apologies.

Gamble actually got held twice on that same 3rd down play. He he ran a slant and out and got held twice on the same play.
