The problem with firing a coach like Franklin is that there aren't many guys better, and even fewer with the resume. For all of his faults, he's had a lot of success at PSU. He's just run into some absolute juggernaut OSU and UM eras. The question is if the program itself is the limitation, at this point.

It’s like the Marv Levy Buffalo Bills. What are you gonna do, fire a guy because he doesn’t win the Super Bowl? Granting that the potential upside is big, there’s still a lot more downside you’re looking at. It’s a really tough call.

ETA: this right here from Bunk.

Sunbelt Billy will beat another team he's not supposed to beat and that'll give him some time.

Wisky is just bad at football and it's a complete head scratcher why.

Freeze will likely be the first fired because AU's patience is running out. They could have been primed to flip the tables with Saban retiring and DeBo struggling his first year but AU just keeps getting worse and worse. Yes, AU has been on the bad side of some awful officiating but the offense drawing an egg in the 2nd half of multiple games is 100% on Freeze.

It reminds me of when Strannix embarrassed himself on here trying to talk shite about Bama hiring DeBoer after the FSU loss

He ignored there were no better options, and no Sabans on the market.

Even to this day, you fire DeBoer and who, exactly, can you get who is better?

Interesting that the Lincoln Riley chatter has kinda died down.

Michigan was a good win yesterday but still can go sideways with trips to Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Oregon left.

So are they going to go for a short-term option in Cignetti or just go straight fricking gambling?

Would be hilarious if they replaced him with Lea or Drink.

Eventually add Jonathan Smith...getting blown out by UCLA is a huge red flag and the team looks like it quit.

Just a wild swag but what if Daboar realizes his mistake. He could take them to the top and he was all but fired after FSU loss by the major media players in Alabama and key fans for going 5-5 in last 10 games. He is safe for now at Alabama but he knows how competitive the SEC is. Just a Swag.

James Franklin just had a deep playoff run. His seat is automatically the coolest out of all the guys here.

Apparently I absolutely did not know what I was talking about.
