In their primes?

Les
Fulmer
Coker
Chizik
O

Les was a damn good coach before he went insane after JL's statistically unlikely int return for TD issues.

Fulmer

Miles

Coker

O

Chizik

I would rather Chizik call my defense than O, but Chizik abandoning the Malzahn offense after 2010 was somehow a lot worse than O's infatuation with the "Joe Brady offense."

Fulmer - did it longer than Les
Miles - had th talent to win more than he did, but wheels never fell off on him either

pretty big gap

Coker - was handed one of the most talented rosters in history to get him his title. But even after six years, his lowest win total for a season was 7 (at Miami).

another big gap

Ed
Chizik

O's stint at Ole Miss was slightly better than Chizik's at Iowa St.
Both rode a generational talent at QB to a ridiculous season.
Year One post title, lean Chizik
Year 2 post title? Ed at least stayed at .500 rather than a 3 win implosion like Chizik.

this.

but i will say, ED built the team he got unlike Chiz and Coker.

But fulmer was a damn good coach and program builder. Had his teams in contention pretty much every year during the 90s and early 2000s. Spurrier being in the same division hurt him.

05-07, 10-13....Les was a damn good coach. he was hurt, like fulmer, by having the best CFB coach ever in the same division.

While O struggled on the field, don't forget it was his tremendous recruiting that allowed Houston Nutt to come in and win 18 games the next two seasons.

Les and Fulmer are pretty damn close.

Les at LSU: 77% winning percentage, 68% SEC, 2 SEC titles, 1 NC

Fulmer: 74%, 73% SEC, 2 SEC, 1 NC

Fulmer would lead this list just because of longevity. Miles would be second.

The answer depends on whether or not Fulmer comes with or without David Cutcliffe.

Les was 7-3 in bowls while Phil was 8-8.

Phil had 6 top 10 finishes and Les had 5.
