Why didn't this work? He was a rookie last year and they won the Superbowl.

They have Hill, Kelce, Watkins, CEH and Bell splitting catches.

He's not a superstar but there is so much star power at the skill positions there

Maybe you should try watching Tyreek play?

Maybe the best comparison for Waddle is... a comparison to Waddle? He’s his own player.

Seven guys.

One job.

And a TD.

I think Seattle and Green Bay would be great fits for Waddle

Waddle is the most athletically explosive WR to play at Bama under Saban.

Keep in mind that list includes guys like Julio, Cooper, Ruggs, Ridley, Jeudy, Smith, etc

Only guy who was that close was Ruggs IMO.

He's also coming off a leg injury and hasn't shown the full WR package that some other guys have like high pointing in traffic against physical corners, etc.

He could be an All-Pro WR or he could just be a Devin Hester, which is great as a returner, but not as valuable as an every down #1 WR.

I love Waddle though, he'd be so great with the Saints with the way Payton gets players the ball in space on short passes.

I am not being a homer, but it'll seem like it, when I say JaMarr Chase is an absolute superstar lock. He is strong, fast, runs great routes, and catches everything even in heavy traffic. Has excellent body control in the air, knows how to use his hands to get open, etc. He's built different physically.

Total package and I have him #1.

Devonta #2. I see him being Justin Jefferson 2.0 in the pros. Just crushing it.

Rest of list not sure. I know Marshall is a WR prototype and can catch the damn ball, but I see him being more Allen Robinson type that is really good, but not a Wheaties box superstar.

Oh so you’re just being obtuse, because prospects are never compared to current NFL players to see how they might fit

He was the best of the 4 we had at this last year and has been since he stepped on campus

Waddle is much, MUCH better and dynamic than Hardman. Come on.

I don’t see anything but a half arse slot/KR out of Waddle in the NFL.

I disagree, he rarely saw #1 NFL-physicality type corners or double coverage. Just to check myself I went and watched several Waddle highlight videos and saw 1 high point catch (Auburn 2019). Almost every single one of his big plays he caught slants and housed them or blew by CBs in a post route (and obviously returns). Tough to blow by everyone in the NFL, gotta be fast AND physical.

Again - I said he's great, but with leg injury and not as much traditional WR tape, I wouldn't take him over some other guys. Being 5'10" also doesn't help unless you can catch like Steve Smith Sr.

Chase and Devonta are 1/2.

Definitely. Hardman is much more of a straight line speedster with a little shift.

Waddle has Hester like moves and agility. He's a freak.

No. It’s just you not getting the point. The Hill of today has elite NFL route skills, elite speed, damn near elite hands, and plays bigger than he is with his ability to high point and make contested catches.

Or are we comparing him to pre-NFL Tyreek Hill’s potential? The two are not the same.

Which is why you have guys the Mamba from Oregon flame out.

Also. It’s like you guys are forgetting that Hill also moves like a RB at full speed because he played RB in college.

Look. Waddle is explosive. But comparing him to Hill is just going to lead to disappointment. Feel free to bookmark this you’re that sensitive and Waddle becomes the weapon NFL Ds fear by year 2 in the league like they did Hill and I’ll eat my crow.

Tyler Lockett, Brandin Cooks, Diontae Johnson. All 5’10, slower and less explosive than waddle, rank in the top 30 in the nfl in targets, are not their team’s primary kick returner.

What else do you want to be stupid about?

Chase
Smith
Waddle
Marshall

I could see waddle or smith going 1 depending on how teams evaluate them. However, this is the order I would seem them going. It's still impressive to think the top 4 receivers taken could be from BAMA/LSU.

Jefferson and Johnson probably fall to the second round, I could see Johnson going later than that, it's just an insanely deep class. I could see Duvernay going in the first. All of these guys are good so the scouts will be looking for something that separates them to take them in the first. The production is undeniable for a guy like Jefferson, but the combine is going to really suit some of these guys more than others. Jordan Matthews is a really good comp for Jefferson. At the end of the day he's a possession WR and that probably holds him out of the first
