Dak has looked absolutely horrible dating back to last year

Watson just had his third 50% completion game out of 8 starts.

Do we think these guys still saviors of the NFL or nah?

Still confident in Watson to dominate and be a force in this league. Dak? No, dude's basically completely reliant on Zeke's presence to be effective in any respect, he's completely regressed to the mean and maybe below it since his rookie season as teams are starting to figure him out, dude just doesn't have the arm nor foot speed to lift an NFL team like say Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Wentz, etc in the absence of supremely talented WRs.

People were hyping up Watson as an MVP and lunatics thought that TD rate was sustainable. I’ve always liked Mahomes more and still think Mahomes will prove to be better. Watson had a ridiculous 6 game stretch. Small sample size and people ate it up.

On their current contracts? Watson and it’s not close.

I think a lot of people thought that Dak was going to make a big progression from his rookie year which was actually pretty decent for a rookie

The problem is it's likely that he peaked early. He was a pretty accurate 5th year senior coming out of college that played in a lot of games. He isn't going to get much more polished than he was when he entered the league.

I think with Watson there is still some growth potential since he hasn't played in as many NFL games but I think Dak is who he is at this point.

Dak is damn near the bottom. I’ve said for a few years if he doesn’t have the lead he’s essentially worthless as a qb because he’s not going to consistently bring a team back passing.

Way too early on Watson, Dak’s becoming pretty bad though. If Zeke is ineffective the Cowboys WILL lose because Dak can’t carry them.

Imo Dak has a future but he should’ve sat behind a veteran. His early success was all due to having an All pro line that allowed him tons of time on Play action (easy yards) and NFL teams not having tape on him.

Watson is a comfortable passer and takes shots down field which shows he’s confident and can make progressions beyond his initial read. Watson was really good at moving his pocket last year though I’m not sure it’s sustainable.

I’d rank them:
Carr
Watson

Dak

Dak had like 4 or 5 good games 2 years ago and he’s still riding that success. I honestly don’t know how it’s possible that anyone still thinks he’s good.

Spot on analysis, my whole opinion on Dak is he has great intangibles in terms of being a leader however he's insufficient on physical QB traits to lift a team solely on his merits unlike John Elway, Aaron Rodgers, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Warren Moon, etc where whoever comprises the WR corps is irrelevant. Dak appears a QB who's almost completely reliant on the quality of support around him to be productive which is almost circular logic as it relates to being a physically great QB and that was proven Sunday and all that occurred last season without Zeke for the suspension games.

On Around the Horn, they were debating who would you rather Eli or Dak. All 4 said they’d take Dak because Eli has OBJ to make him look good.

Cowboys have the worse group of pass catchers in the league by a lot. They are gonna lose a lotta games this year.

Why would they be comparing a guy who has two years left to a guy who has only played two years?
