Not LeBron
Not Curry
Not Kareem
Not Magic

1. Mike
2. Kobe

Kobe modeled his game after MJ.

He had massive standards from his team. Came off as a dick bc of those standards.

He was the most competitive player in the league during his time (after MJ retired)

Would play on one leg if he had too.

5× NBA champion (2000–2002, 2009, 2010)
2× NBA Finals MVP (2009, 2010)
NBA Most Valuable Player (2008)
18× NBA All-Star (1998, 2000–2016)

Mamba elevated his team. He took small things personal like MJ in order to get an edge.

He was the last great to not be a flopping crying bitch. He never flinched. Just a tough SOB who didn’t give a frick.

MJ
Kobe

LeBron.

If you’re ranking competitors, then yeah, Kobe is 2. I love Kobe and absolutely despise everything about Lebron, but Lebron is solidly #2 on the list of best basketball players.

NBA Most Valuable Player (2008)

An award that should be on Chris Paul's mantle and commemorated in the Smoothie King Center...

He might be the 2nd best 2-guard.

Solid top 15-20 all time player though.

Kobe is one of my all-time faves, but you're obviously fishing for downvotes with this take.

I guess I'll be the first guy to name Jokic in this thread, which is shocking for the MSB.

Then who else?
The only argument is Lew.

But Kobe was in a post/during Jordan era. Centers in Kareem’s era dominated the game bc that was what you needed and ran offensively. That shite stopped working during and after Shaq.

Kobe and Shaq would have run circles around Lew’s 70 and 80s teams.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Kobe’s probably not even top 10 all time.

Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, and Lebron are all better players who have played for the Lakers lol.

Robert Horry - better than Kobe Bryant.

Jordan
Shaq
Kareem
Wilt
Magic
Bird
Steph
Jokic
Duncan
Durant
Giannis

are all comfortably better than Kobe. Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony are two of the most overrated players in NBA history. Kobe benefited greatly from playing for stacked teams in Los Angeles his entire career. He was a mildly efficient (at best) mid range volume shooter with overrated defensive accolades. He was basically a poor mans Jordan.

I loved Kobe as a basketball player but he’s the most consistently over-ranked of all the top guys ever. He’s fringe top 10 which is amazing but his mystique will have people throwing him into the top 3

Jordan and LeBron are 1 and 2 in some order and that is beyond reasonable doubt at this point.

Kobe isnt top 10. I doubt anyone with an iq over 80 thinks he's top 10.
