The 2003 Insight Bowl. Hadn't watched much Cal or knew much of Rodgers, who threw darts all night vs. the Hokies.

1991 Cotton Bowl was one of the biggest arse kickings I've ever seen, so I'll go with that.

First one that came to mind when I read topic was mid '70s bowl game w ND playing Houston and trailing 34-0.

Joe Montana was sick and throwing up and brought them back to win the game.

I wasn't there, but watching on TV as a kid.

Notre Dame scored the first 12 points of that game Houston then scored 34 in a row.

He wasn't throwing up he had the flu and they thought his body temp had dropped too low.

They gave him soup at half, which is why it's called Chicken Soup Game.

2001 GMAC Bowl when Marshall beat East Carolina 64-61 in 2OT after being down 38-8 at halftime. Highest scoring bowl game ever.

I went with a few friends and we left at halftime. It was actually pretty chilly that night too. I wanted to stay but I didn't drive so unless I wanted to walk home... you know.

but anyway I remember reading the paper all week. They talked about how East Carolina was in fact the same team Marshall played back in 1970 just before the accident with the Marshall team plane.

that was a few years before the movie We Are Marshall came out. So more of the younger people out there weren't really familiar with that story.

both times East Carolina came down here they lost. They also lost in the 1st bowl game here to TCU.

I was at that one too.

TCU had LaDainian Tomlinson back then and that was when Dennis Franchione was the coach there.

that was back when TCU played in the WAC.

Went to the 2005 New Orleans Bowl that was held in Lafayette due to Hurricane Katrina..Southern Miss vs. Arkansas State. Good ball game and the obliterated guy sitting across from us added to the entertainment value

1994 Sun Bowl - Texas beat UNC (who Mack coached at the time) 35-31 in a nice back and forth battle. Priest Holmes and James Brown were a nice backfield bunch for Texas.

Hawaii Bowl where SMU won on Christmas Eve...first bowl win post-Death Penalty

2005 Cotton Bowl - if I recall, a defensive slugfest Bama won over Texas Tech on a knuckleball kick as time expired.

**1990's Cotton Bowls. I took pleasure watching A&M pissing these games away or getting crushed...Notre Dame and UCLA come to mind.

If you've never watched the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl you haven't lived.

December 29, 1995 LSU 45 Michigan State 26
Dinardo (1st year at LSU vs Saban (1st year at MSU)
Faulk's 50 yard TD before the half. Gabe Northern's fumble recovery/TD for like 30 yards. Herb Tyler to Kennison... MSU turned the ball over a lot. Faulk had over 200 yards/MVP...

December 28, 1997 LSU 27 Notre Dame 9
Rematch
Bob Davie/Dinardo
Wade Richey/Abram Booty/Mealey had over 200 yards

This is how I will always remember LSU growing up. Then Saban took over in 1999, etc..

Cotton Bowl Joe Montana against Houston on the coldest of cold Dallas days.

LSU vs Michigan St. Indy Bowl

The Marcus Dupree Sun Bowl game, where he just goes off and afterward Switzer saying he could of had more yards if he would get in shape. Marcus heads to Mississippi and into oblivion.

OSU vs Miami Fiesta Bowl only time I have ever felt sorry
for the U, they got robbed

Last years Bacardi Bowl or whatever in the Bahamas thinking there are too many bowl games.

Bluebonnet Bowl

Watched Texas in a few of those. Toward the end the worn out carpet and plywood was buckling and sticking out in places.

Made for some interesting obstacles during a game.

1963 Rose Bowl USC versus Wisconsin Ron Vander Kellen led a furious Wisconsin rally but eventually fell short.

Went to the Florida/Illinois All-American Bowl at Legion Field in 1988. Emmitt played for UF and the Illini QB was Jeff George.

Watched plenty of random bowl games broadcast by the "Mizlou Television Network". Never heard of them until bowl season rolled around and it seemed like they had all the minor bowls like Holiday, Liberty, Independence, Bluebonnet, etc.
