LETS GOOOOO! I may start watching again if they just fling it with O'Connell rest of season.

Little surprised at Ziegs though but he takes the fall as well bringing over the "patriot way" and failing.

That is the word, and was close to happening last time. Still not sure how I feel on it but I'd definitely be okay with it over another unproven coordinator.

Too bad Al Davis Jr's buttcut clown son can't fire himself..

20 year franchise spiral since the old man aged out and all his old school Al LoCasale front office hierarchy too.

Sources; Raiders are planning to name LB coach Antonio Pierce as their interim head coach.

Cool for Pierce. He's been a great LB coach.

Davis is as hands off an owner as they come in terms of football operations. Even the GM's are picked by his executives every time and then they get full control and he stays away.

You would think it would hit at some point but damn.

Davis has made the Raiders the #2 revenue team in the NFL so he def isn't going anywhere. The Raiders are printing money near Cowboys level right now. Which I guess is a good thing that eventually with all that money you'll win? Idk. I don't care as much as I used to but a fresh start is a breath of fresh air and hope.

When you’re making money like that you don’t give a damn if you win or not

It can go that way, I don't think so with Mark personally I do think he cares, and getting the franchise financially stable from where it was to where it is now will only help. I still believe!

I’m a little surprised he’s the first fire of the season but McDaniels sucks and should have never had the job in the first place. They would have been better off keeping Rich Bisaccia as the head coach but typical Raiders went for a name over substance.

Is Sam Pitman getting canned by year end if goes really bad down the stretch? What most people don't realize some coaches don't really care because they get that huge buyout money.

Love Schefter and his “Sources”. He got a Twitter notification when Raiders Twitter posted it.

Yeah, I've been waiting for the new stadium, revenue, and whatnot to spill over into great HC hires, and GM moves.

I have hope, but their hires/fires, trades, roster building, FA moves,etc..lack a clear identity, nor consistent franchise modus operandi that it did circa mid 1960s to say 2000ish.

Pat Bowlen before passing away and the Hunt family, cleaned their clocks the last thirty years in terms of running a franchise properly.

Pretty good chance. Hopefully they lose out and it's 100%.

Basketball being as good as it is has already started to take some eyes and pressure off though so if he wins a couple maybe not and use the bad OC hire scapegoat angle.

More coaches are now wanting to get the large buyout money than try to actually do the job.

Yeah the covid season with no fans really sat them back but now it will be 2 straight years as #2 in revenue so these hires need to be the ones. It's time.

Reality: Hire 2 hyped guys with little to no experience, trade the farm for Caleb Williams and he busts massively.

They lost 5 double-digit second half leads under McDaniels.
They lost to Baker Mayfield with 3 days practice.
They lost to a D2 QB.
They lost to Jeff Saturday.

McDaniels started 6-0 in Denver, and then went 14-33 as a head coach in both Denver and Las Vegas.
