Mahomes
Lamar
Allen
Burrow
Goff
Hurts
Jayden
Hebert
Nix
Love

Those 10 can easily go up against the 10 in the OP

Didn’t even include Baker, Darnold, Dak, and others that have also had good seasons at times

Michael Vick was the most overrated QB of all time and it isn’t close. He was statistically worse than Justin Fields. In 13 seasons, he completed over 60% of his passes twice, had over 25 total touchdowns once, and had over 4000 total yards zero times. Obviously when looking at just passing yards/touchdowns it’s even worse, but he only even cracked 700 rushing yards 3 times and never ran for double digit touchdowns.

I see 1 Super Bowl winning QB in there. Even during the greatest team run in NFL history those OP QB had several championship winners. It’s not even close

I agree, comparing Bo Nix to Payton Manning is hilarious

comparing raw stats of QBs from Vick's prime to now is dumb

What’s funny is you’ll see guys like that poster argue that offensive systems have become more productive yet they’ll also argue that the systems don’t inherently produce more numbers it’s just that the players are so much better. This is what you get with box score fans who don’t know football.

You also didn’t include Stafford which is hilarious or Stroud who’s better than the guys you left off and some you included.

In the next 10 years do you think Mahomes is going to win every Super Bowl?

Because assuming you don’t, that list will soon have multiple Super Bowl winners

I’m not the one who thought comparing Bo Nix to hall of famers was an intelligent comparison

What am I moving?

The crop of QBs now is no different than the op list

Let’s pick one freaking year in the 2010s

I’ll let you pick it

It is, compare Nix to RG3 or Josh Freeman or Cam Newton or Matt Shaub. Those guys don’t compare to the OP list either but they’ve had better seasons than Nix. This is what happens when you start trying to frame a discussion using double standards, they start to contradict.

2015. I’ll pick the year because you won’t. I picked the middle of the 2010s

Top 10 QBs by passer ratingin 2015 vs top 10 QBs by passer this year

2015

Wilson
Dalton
Palmer
Brady
Cousins
Brees
Newton
Taylor
Stafford
Smith

2024

Jackson
Goff
Burrow
Mayfield
Hurts
Darnold
Herbert
Allen
Tagovaloa
Carr

The idea that the Ops list was just awesome flowing beautiful QB play compared to now is drunk nostalgia. Multiple guys in that list had lrettt pathetic seasons often

Only 5/17 seasons did Flacco ever have a passer rating over 90

I mean calling Flacco, Eli, and rivers ELITE QBs is just insane

Again you want to compare unaccomplished QB, even rookies to guys who’ve finished their careers but you only want to select the best single seasons from some guys especially 1st or 2nd year players. Now if you had any sense you’d realize how silly this is. You also don’t want to take into account things like air yards or ypa which has steadily declined over the last decade. Ypa has dropped over a yard in the last handful of years and air yards have decreased by nearly 10% since the stat was introduced in 2006. For someone so in love with modernity I find it funny you want to ignore some of the most important modern stats but then again you try and slant everything to your bias.

Did you miss the fact of the explosion of two high safeties? Any qb with a brain would decrease their air yards

Simply trying to gaslight people that flacco, Eli, rivers etc were elite QBs to fake the numbers is a joke

Well I didn’t call Joe Flacco elite so now you’re making straw men but it is hilarious that you think Hurts is elite, who I like as a player btw.
