I wasnt trying to contemplate the guys choices in partners or get into the specifics of AIDS. Was just commenting on how remarkeable it was the guy outlived Kobe. I dont think any honest poster would have thought that was possible.

If Magic lives longer than Bird, he can go frick himself. People in Boston will contract AIDS on purpose.

I know this board doesn't like Magic, but he's where he is because of a few things.
1. He caught the HIV early before the symptoms started cascading on him.
2. He has a lot of money to get the best available treatment.
3. By all accounts, he works very hard to stay in shape to maximize his body's natural ability to prevent the spread of the virus.
4. He was a pro athlete because he had some good genes. I'm sure that's an asset in fighting the HIV.
He's lived through an era where HIV went from a death sentence to something that can be managed.
