Pitino is well known as a control freak and
micro-manager

does anyone else find it ironic that his controlling nature drove him to be directly involved in this and may have lead to his undoing

5 star 50-100k

4 star 15-20k

This type of information is very interesting to me. It would be cool to see multi year trends on that as well.

u want to know what i reallllly find interesting

is that when we aqre talking about money, we aqre talking about fringe nba types and fringe 5 stars.

let me put it another way. does anyone reallly believe for a second that Josh Jackson, Bamba, Ayton, didn't take mooney from somewhere... josh jackson in particuar has the makup of a signture top tier marketing player there was probaby quite a bidding war with him.

but yet.... nothing.

it's almost llike ther is a different system for the truly ellites. like maybe they get bitcoihn ATM cards or some shite lol

also, i can't blame a guy like bamba or jackson for taking the money. they could sit on their arse for a year.. better yet, they coulld literally go to jail for a year and come ou78t and be top 5 picks. guranteed millionares. why not takie the money

it's hte players like bowen or sexton who are idiots for taking the money because their games stil need work and that lotto pick next year ain't a gurantee. if they get caugbht and are inelligable what next? their fricked

This whole saga got me thinking...schools get busted for recruiting type scandals here and there with probation and what not.

But when was the last time a school was busted for giving money to a recruit, or funneling money like in this fiasco?

We always hear and see pics of guys driving cars insinuating they were paid for by universiities, but when's the last time a school actually was busted for that?

I guess ole miss. But before them it goes back a ways. Would have been Miami in the late 2000s until the NCAA fricked up

perhaps the top tier guys are opting for back end payments once they make the NBA while the handlers of the fringe guys want more up front?

My answer was related to the ability of each body (NCAA / FBI) to actually get information. The NCAA has no teeth, people don't talk because there's never any real repercussions. That's not the case when the FBI jumps in and there are life changing consequences. People will talk and things will get prosecuted.
