In that Rutgers Louisville game, the kicker missed the first attempt but got a second try after a penalty.

Good one, it put the CFB world on alert to RR’s read option.

Auburn/South Carolina. Believe it was the 06 season. That was the year SCar used Syvelle Newton at a bunch of different positions, he actually played QB for SCar this game. Auburn was undefeated at the time and ranked #2 in the nation. SCar gave them all they could handle. I believe Auburn onside kicked in the 3rd quarter which I want to say made SCar have literally 0 offensive snaps in that quarter. But still, SCar got down inside the 10 down only a TD at the end of the game. A WR dropped a sure fire TD on 3rd down which would have tied it, and then on 4th down I believe the pass was knocked down.

Was quite a scare for Auburn, I remember it was a fun game and a rare Thursday night SEC game. This was the same year SCar had like 2 or 3 missed/blocked FGs and lost to eventual national champion Florida.

I remember the Auburn game vividly because my best friend at the time was an Auburn fan and I was over at his house after school to watch the game and remember him being kind of livid that the game was so close at the end. Afterwards I remember him saying he never wanted Auburn to play on a Thursday again

2004 Miami/UofL . Hester returned a punt midway through the fourth quarter to give Miami the lead. That was Louisville’s only loss of the year. If they had gone undefeated, they might/probably would have gotten into the Fiesta Bowl instead of Utah.

Wasn’t the Georgia tech vs Virginia tech game where Lee Corsos car got struck by lightning on a Thursday? Also the upset of Georgia tech over Florida state on the block field goal

Thursday night CFB >>>>> nfl Thursday color rush wtf else they try.

I miss Tirico calling those games. He had so much more passion than he does now. He made those Big East games feel like nothing else mattered.

Both dog taking a leak Egg Bowls were on Thursday. The second one was the one Ole Miss loss because the celebration penalty pushed the extra pt back and the kicker missed.

First Thursday night game that I remember was a Rutgers game in 06 that was won last second on a field goal. I think Ray Rice was on that team. Don’t remember anything about the game though.

But I do remember watching it and thinking “wow, something to do on Thursday when the office isn’t on”

Was that Rutgers/Louisville? Think that was a Thursday game in 06. And 07 had USF/Rutgers when USF was #2 and Ray Rice had one of the meanest stiff arms I've ever seen

Didn’t Oregon fall to Arizona on a Thursday night in 2007? The one where Dennis Dixon got hurt and Oregon fell out of the NC race.

As an LSU fan, Dennis Dixon going down opened up the door for LSU to win the title that year. But I felt so bad for Dennis, dude had the Heisman on lock and I believe they got out to an early lead in that game before he went down and then Oregon couldn't do shite the rest of the season. If he doesn't go down, he wins the Heisman over Tebow and Oregon is probably your national champs.
