frick all of this. Sports betting was way more fun when it wasn’t thrown in your face everywhere you turn.
I used to enjoy throwing a 10 dollar parlay every once in awhile for shits and giggles, haven’t placed one in about 3 years now. It’s predatory as hell on young minds

Prediction markets are societal poisson and also incredibly annoying in how it’s convinced people it means anything
“Poly market says XXXXX has a 96 percent chance of happening!!”
My drunk uncle says it has a 76 percent chance of happening, both have equal value to predicting the future

The Trump administration's actions related to prediction markets have played a huge part in them being able to operate in the US.
They were classified as commodities markets so regulated under the CFTC, which seems ridiculous to me, and the feds have even sued state governments that try to classify them as gambling enterprises.
Don Jr getting cushy positions both with Kalshi and Polymarket, which his company invested in, is not a good look given what's gone on.

Mike Scarborough ruined his Tigerbait because they knew Landon Collins was picking Alabama at the UA game but they strung the subscribers along all day. Now he can make up the money lost with some insider trading. Not to mention all the family members and coaches that'll wet their beak too.

Condition: player is enrolled at a certain school by first day of class
- Player commits to school X
- Market surges to >90% for school X
- Relative or friend bets heavily for school Y on the cheap
- Player decommits from school X, commits to and subsequently enrolls with school Y
While against posted prediction market rules this does not necessarily break any laws. Nor are they airtight as it’s entirely plausible for a player to waiver in any direction
- Player commits to school X
