Just caught up with a very emotional Malcolm Butler, alongside Adam Schefter. "They gave up on me. F—. It is what it is," Butler told us. LINK

It’s surprising they didn’t put him back in when Foles kept lighting up the secondary.

I’m just glad the game wasn’t influenced by refs calling soft penalties.

Doesn't matter. Defenders still play " soft" and on their heels because of League rules / refs. They are neutered .

Classical conditioning.

I'm just glad Goodell changed the catch rule before the Super Bowl
Both of those plays likely would have been overruled before his recent comments about changing the rule.

I sometimes think Gronk may die on the field of play. So many shots to the head and he takes a beating out there. He sounded like it was starting to take it's toll.

Just imagine him playing in an era when safeties intentionally " headhunt" receivers . There were no poor " defenseless" receiver and it was the defenders job to make receivers pay for daring coming across the Middle.

If you fell to the ground it was a good hit( sans facemask ).

I finally saw that movie Concussion.
Wow, the number of collisions Mike Webster had and due to his size it was mostly his helmet taking the brunt of it, and those helmets they used back in the 80's are nothing like what they have now.
Over his entire football career he took about 70,000 hits.
The NFL will always be there with the money in it but if I'm playing, I make that money and get out.
Otherwise you will pay for it later in life.

What happens to Foles now? Eagles still keep Wentz, right?

Wentz returns as starter for Philadelphia.

Foles gets traded and some team will overpay him $50-$100 million bc of this playoff run and super bowl victory. He will never have another run like this one and will retire a very rich man.
