While I haven't watched an NBA game in going on 4+ yrs, it's hard to completely ignore the ongoing, everywhere chatter. And one thing that makes me shake my head in amazement is the issue of "load management". Getting paid $20-30-50 million a year & players can't play even close to a full season? As much as the last generation of players got knocked on their asses, game after game all season long, they still laced up & showed up to play all season long. For a lot less money. Does China give a shite about American fans? Players just bank their China-based endorsement money & take rests when they don't feel like playing .

The competition and storylines are too good to not watch for some silly political reasons.

Still better than voiding the season and there was something to watch on tv for sports fans that like watching sports

The season was voided. That’s the point.

I don’t know very many people at all that care about the NBA any more. Most people that are my age who care are pretty weird. It’s pretty devoid of entertainment value and the political shite has only given people less of an incentive to watch. If I want to watch political content, I’m predisposed to seek it out from sources more aligned with my views. If I do want to hear other views, I’ll look to hear from people with a higher intellect and knowledge than a bunch of 90-105 IQ, 20-something athletes.

4 things hurting NBA:

-too political
-too many fouls
-no physicality allowed
-load management

If any of you actually watched the games you’d know politics never comes up. They’re just playing basketball.

I don't watch much regular season but I watch the playoffs. My problem is that KD Harden and Kyrie aren't in Brooklyn and are on 3 different teams which flies in the face of the push for the superteam. As a casual fan I don't know who is who. I think some sort of stability is needed so I can at least follow the storyline and figure out who I'd like to follow. As an absurd example imagine every team swapping players every game. Casuals will just turn it off. I think players should be able to determine where they want to play but acting like teen girls unfriending people on FB every 2 days is kinda dumb

I thought Phil was on the same level as popovich in terms of wacko liberal.

Is this a huge 180?

My guess is that Phil's ideology is similar to Bill Maher's- very liberal yet still thinks that the sjw, far left social shite is a total farse.
