No SJW nonsense, just sports. PGA Tour has been wonderful since the restart.

Sunday’s Blues-Avalanche NHL round robin averaged a 0.40 rating and 655,000 on NBCSN (684K including streaming), marking the largest NHL audience on cable since Opening Night (Capitals-Blues: 724K).

That doesn’t seam very high

They have done it right except for charging people extra just to watch before the network coverage comes on... I will not pay extra to watch golf......

They have been doing this for quite a while now.

And I don't usually pay for it but I bought the $5 ESPN+ subscription to watch the PGA Championship coverage. I've already cancelled the subscription so it won't renew in a month. It's a pretty fair deal to gain another 12 hours of coverage.

I've been watching a ton of golf, but it's not due to a personal boycott of the social justice crap or anything. I still don't watch NHL or racing. Golf just restarted way ahead of the others and I found myself more invested than I've ever been when it was the only thing on. So as the others have restarted, I've still watched some of them, but golf has been priority number 1 for me when it's on.

ETA: Plus I've been working from home so I've seen more Thursday & Friday golf over the last month than the rest of my life combined.

nope, to find the blm crap, you have to pay attention to the score boards, and every once in a while they will have some bullshite about BLM. Mostly hidden from viewing audience unless you want to see it

And it doesn't get anymore bullshite than BLM

You have to remember that for these game the home market local affiliate also broadcasts it (usually a Fox Sports channel) and in Canada SCN broadcasts it.

That’s definitely not the case in F1.

NHL playoffs have been thrilling. Especially tonight. I haven't watched a second of golf or racing. And don't plan to either.

Yes just like MLB
RSNs crush it

But they used national network ratings to say the NHL is crushing it, and those numbers don’t seem like that at all

Covid-19 has been good to golf in general. Plus, as stated, not as much of this social justice, whatever the hell you call it, being rammed down your throat.

Subtle difference with the NHL is We Skate for Black Lives is different than BLM. Also they have gone out of their way to also honor health care workers, volunteers, and even cops and include them in their messaging. Opening night they came dang close to toeing that line of All Lives Matter.

I wish they would cut out all political and social commentary but if the NHL is going to do it the way they've gone about it isn't horrible.

Except for Canadian Matt Dumba kneeling for the American flag while on Canadian soil yet standing for the Canadian flag, that pissed me off. Totally wrong message to single out the USA when Canada has a long history of racial issues. Frick that guy.

Yep. Idk why it’s been so hard for people to acknowledge the cause without giving credence to that horrible organization. It’s really not hard but some act like you can’t make a differentiation.
