Apparently you can’t read. He did great with a bunch of hires. He fricked up the Wade scenario. They are not mutually exclusive.

You can say people you like made the wrong decision and still like them.

So do you want to fire Scott?

I’d like him to fix his mistake. Remove MM and give WW a 10 year contract. Its ok to frick up. Its not ok to act like you didn’t frick up. Fix it before its too late.

If not, step down and let someone who will fix it take over

he majorly fricked up the Will situation.

After hiring Mulkey, Johnson, and Kelly, you’re unwilling to give him the benefit of the doubt? You think you’re smarter than Scott? You’re not. You have no idea what happened behind the scenes that lead him to do what he did. No coach worth a shite wanted to touch LSU with a ten-foot pole after the Wade debacle.

I loved Will Wade and wish he was still here. But if you’re a leader and your program is just engulfed in shitty press and scrutiny, I get making a move. I wouldn’t have, but I understand.

This was 99% of TD before they started to cope.

For the 3rd or 4th time you can admit that has done great and also fricked up.

Knowing what I know today would I still have hired Scott when he was hired? Yes. Knowing what I know today do I want him to remain our AD? Yes. Did he frick the Wade situation? Yes.

He’s proven three times to be a competent athletic director, so for the second time, why are you unwilling to give him the benefit of the doubt on this?

Was Will Wade a cool guy? Absolutely. I liked him, and defended him when he was here.

Was Will Wade an A+ head coach? Absolutely not. Was he worth keeping around despite all the scrutiny? He wasn’t.

Again, you have no idea what happened behind the scenes that lead to his firing. I’m giving Scott the benefit of the doubt on this one. He’s earned it.

? If Wade had Self’s record,

Only one way to find out

But yeah I would say most Tiger fans do root for the little brother state schools like a McNeese… just that they don’t often play important games nationally to make doing so worth it

I wouldn’t exactly describe what Penny does as “coaching.”

I wish we had a backbone. We fired a Hall of Fame coach who was later found to be not guilty of anything

Now here we are finishing 4-28

That's where I am on this.

His public persona was cool...

but remember how this all went down originally?
quote:

Indefinitely suspended LSU basketball coach Will Wade wants to resume his job, but not if it means putting him at legal risk.

In a statement released to multiple media outlets Thursday, Wade said he believes the university should allow him to resume his duties as coach and explained that he is not willing to be interviewed by LSU officials at this time on the advice of legal counsel.

"I love LSU and everything it stands for," Wade said in part of the statement. "What I'm asking for is the right to do my job while exercising my constitutional rights. I don't think that's too much to ask."

Wade's statement comes on the heels of a letter that his attorney, Michael G. McGovern, wrote to LSU officials earlier this week, explaining that he would meet with the school "upon the conclusion of the pending Southern District of New York criminal investigation."
quote:

Before Wade's suspension, Alleva and Alexander had asked Wade to come to a meeting on March 8 to discuss the story and the federal investigation with them along with other LSU officials, LSU's NCAA compliance department and NCAA personnel. But Wade refused on advice of McGovern.
quote:

Attorney Robert W. Barton of the Taylor Porter firm in Baton Rouge is representing LSU along with LSU attorney Thomas Skinner with regard to Wade and McGovern.

"Your communication today directed to Dr. Alexander, Mr. Alleva and the members of the LSU Board of Supervisors misrepresents the substance of our discussion on Sunday," Barton said in response to McGovern's letter in a letter also received by the USA Today Network from Skinner.

Barton's point was that McGovern had not previously brought up the criminal investigation of college basketball corruption in a previous discussion on Sunday.

Alleva and Skinner told the Baton Rouge Advocate that Wade's refusal to discuss the taped conversations in the latest Yahoo Sports story "left LSU with no option but to suspend" Wade.

"The bottom line is Coach Wade put us in this situation," Skinner said.

Every other school spoke internally, got their ducks in a row, and THEN told the NCAA to frick off. Wade lawyered up and refused to speak to his AD or the Board of Supervisors, while this shite was still rumor and allegations.

You can call him "cool", and he plays his image up that way; but him doing that wasn't cool. And although Woodward wasn't the guy in charge then, I can understand him not wanting to keep a guy who does that around.
