Reddit has been fricking hilarious in the aftermath. Falcons and Vikings fans are BFFs. Every other fanbase is like wtf

Calling you piece of garbage would be a huge understatement, and also not a huge surprise from Falcons fans. Pull off a lucky win with everything on their side and don't even know how to act.

But they have 5 losses. If they lose @ New Orleans and vs Carolina they aren't getting in. That is very, very possible, too.

Did he call himself out for running out to the field like a crazed moron and getting a 15 yard penalty for unsportmanslike conduct and essentiantly ending the game? Or not giving his fg kicker a shot to send the game to OT and seeing if Matt Ryan had another INT left in him? Somebody check his CVS prescription receipts.

I'm not saying that Thursday night games are great for the players, but I've found most of the losing teams are the ones who complain about having to play them.

Yeah, you win that game and have 10 days rest and now you are loving life.

Well he's not talking about the outcome. He's talking about the injuries

He's 100% right about that.

NFL team medical staffs have recovery down to a science. They have every hour planned out to get these guys back into game shape before the next game. Having to play a 4 days after the last one is a huge detriment to that process. These guys need every hour of every day to properly recover.

Says a lot about your team that you have to rely on a bunch of middle aged guys in striped shirts to help you win.

This one of the many reasons your team does not have one of these:

By the way, you get them by not choking in the Super Bowl after being up by 25 points....sucks to be you

Remember, Super Bowls are 60 minutes long, not 30

You mean when he was trying to call timeout on the 3rd down play to get the ball back, and the ref was looking his way and not giving the TO? That play?
Yeah, I agree, he should have come all the way out and punched that frick in the jaw.

I'd suspect there's a correlation between injuries and losing.

Payton calling out the NFL on Thursday games

The Cowboys & Lions ( and a few others) have been playing Thursday games( Thanksgiving) for decades and I've never heard these complaints/ concerns / whining.

Every article I've read indicates studies that there are no increases in injury rates on Thursday nights no matter how much the Saints / others whine. Saints injury issues go beyond a single TNF game.
