The clinic that Durant has been putting on this year confirms this

Claims, "A changing of the guard" and used the word "witnessing".

If Durant consistently provides this level of defense to go with his offense, I'd say he could definitely be the best player in the NBA, but no one's going to appreciate him since he's not carrying his team on his back to championships by himself with no other all stars on his team year after year anyway.

Where's the last time an NBA team had one single player carry a weak team on their back and win a championship?

lebron, for right or wrong, will always have the superteam accusations holding him back

KD had a chance to go his own way, chase GOAT status, but he decided to cuck himself into championships.

hes a follower and his legacy will forever be ruined

There be fighting words in this thread tonight.

You put Durant on the Cavs and put Lebron on the Warriors and the Cavs would be beat by 40 every night.

Durant isn't close to Lebron. This thread is shite.

Anyone who believes Durant is better than Lebron is a serious idiot on levels unheard of on this board.

I can't believe this is even a consideration. Paul Pierce found his chance to piss on Lebron like R. Kelly after Lebron put Boston's big 3 out of business.

Is Durant guarding Lebron? I don't think the best player should allow the opposition to average a triple double with 30+ pats per game.

If he isn't guarding Lebron... not the best

Everything comes to an end. Lebron was the best player in the NBA for the last 8 or 9 years and now Durant is passing him before our eyes. It's something that happens and it's always exciting to watch ESP in a finals setting.

Madking, you truly believe Durant could carry this Cavs team to the finals in the East?

Please tell me you do not believe this shite...

No way in he!! they make it out of the East with Durant and Irving and Love. Durant doesn't make anybody better and he is just a huge beneficiary of playing with 2 other studs who can hit 3 balls from anywhere on the floor. His spacing has never been better. The game is easier now for him. Imagine Lebron on this team for just one minute.

The overreaction is incredible.

I don't get the "superteam" accusations -- the only difference is that now it's players putting it together through their own decisions and actions instead of management. Any sustained success has relied on having several great players and coaches.

Lmfao easily the fact that this is unbelievable to you proves that denial isn't just a river in Africa. That 3 pointer he hit at the end was the dagger in Lebrons legacy.
