horseshite. For a guy who’s made a lot of noise about wanting to win and more responsibility, you have to put up a better effort than that. His attempt was pathetic.

There isn’t a quarterback in the league that makes that tackle. Josh Allen gets trucked there with that stiff arm. Chandler Jones is a yoked up 6-5, 260, with a 7-1 wingspan and overpowers offensive tackles for a living.

That may be the dumbest play YOU’VE ever seen but the Pisarcik play in 78 and the Leon Lett play in 93 were both dumber than today’s.

I would have to imagine Bill Belicheat called that play and wanted to score. Should’ve just Hail Mary and been done with it. If they were trailing, that’s one thing. Why not just go to OT.

Watch the play and tell me you’re happy with his effort.

Well, he did enough to get the win tonight. If not for terrible defense at the end and a very questionable touchdown call, this wouldn’t even be a thing. He didn’t make the lateral and mac was standing flat footed while the other dude had momentum as he caught and trucked mac. Mac has not done well this year. He’s regressed. Blame that on whatever you want, but that play under those circumstances, I think he’s gotta get a pass.

That is stupid as shite to say that. Allen makes that tackle easily, as do other athletic qbs. Small arse dbs have tackled gronk. There are plenty of 225 plus pound athletic Qbs now in the nfl. Chandler had no real momentum at the time contact was made, Mac just isn’t very athletic or physical.

Blaming him for the play would be dumb, but it’s equally as dumb to say Josh Allen gets tricked there. He is 6’5” 240 pounds and a pure physical specimen. He can handle making a tackle against any human being on the planet

Mac is low key athletic

And definitely more athletic than the average MSBer thinks

Has fantastic feel for leverage too

Why did Mac do enough, but you don’t say “the defense did enough” as well?

He did

ETA: Ehh, I take it back. CJ got his extended mitt right on Mac’s shoulder/neck immediately. Sure, it looked silly but the physics behind it don’t seem like an indictment of Mac’s athleticism to me.

This is up there with Iron Bowl Kick Six.

Team is tied trying to do something heroic to win in regulation and it backfired into a loss. Should have just gone to overtime.

First off, Leon made two dumb plays in 93. The first one was in the Super Bowl, and only mattered in that it prevented Dallas from getting 59 points. He celebrated early near the goal line, something we’ve seen many times.

Him sliding in the snow on Thanksgiving was dumb, and him not knowing the rules/situation despite his teammates waving him off. I could still see that being a heat of the moment move. LSU showed that rules on a blocked field goal aren’t taught well.

This shite today takes the cake. It wasn’t a rule issue, it was pure stupidity. Lateraling is bad enough, but to chuck it that far back in a tie game is next level dumb.

Kick Six was a wing and a prayer of a kick especially back then for College kickers...what was it 58 yards?

But nobody thought Auburn would return it for a TD so you take a flier...if you miss, you miss...especially how hard they lobbied for that one second put back on the clock...with the refs talking to Gary in the booth.

The Patriots radio announcers:

"This might be dumbest thing I've ever seen."

So OP...

We just witnessed history in NFL history...and sort of nice the Pats will be remembered for that. Tuck rule karma.

I’m a Raiders fan, I watched it live. He tried to wrap up his legs

That 7-1 wingspan is a game changer there. He had 3 steps into the contact and extended the stiff arm with brute force, driving his head down all the way to the turf. Just a raw display of power. Wingspan is so long that Mac Jones could hardly reach his knee when he was fully extended.

Colts are off the hook for worst play of all time on the fake punt.

worse by far. its a failure to be alert. maybe didn't know his number was called.

the lateral was a bad throw. not stupid per se.
although I do have issues with execution.
should attempted to advance ball. instead he tossed hot potato too far back.

anyway the punt mess was a worse play in my book.

you can coach the details of the lateral play to be better. what can you do as coach if rb isn't able to catch the hike?
