the NFL sent out a memo specifically saying not to ride the officials and BB was doing it all game and THEN grabbed one

a suspension would be harsh, but i could see it just for the NFL to show it means business

They showed the replay like 10 times. I can't believe anyone could think it was wide after that.

it was inside the post as it crossed, went right of the post afterwards.

The refs suck, but FG are pretty easy to call when you stand under the posts.

Indeed. Too bad the ref situation is overshadowing the WR equivalent of the Favre MNF performance. He was lights out tonight.

Harbaugh to the ref after that illegal contact penalty.

"You no good motherfricker. You fricking son of a bitch."

Anyone have the gif yet?

The 8th grade history teacher ref thought the kick was no good but the main insurance salesman ref overturned him. Good job, good effort.

He's a dumbass....

It's the position of the ball as it penetrates the plane of the crossbar....not 2 feet past it, not 2 yds past it. It was CLEARLY inside the uprights as it cleared the crossbar.

The fade made it interesting but it's just as good as one that splits the uprights.

Here is the language from the NFL rulebook (pdf):
quote:

The entire ball must pass through the vertical plane of the goal, which is the area above the crossbar and between the uprights or, if above the uprights, between their outside edges.

I just can't wait for the playoffs and competent officiating. The only winner in this game was the regular refs.

The amount of penalties that game was ridiculous. I have never seen so many penalties in the defensive backfield.
