I understand the refs are not doing a good job, but could you guys at least cut them some slack?

They were unknowingly tossed into these jobs not ready for the atmosphere and expectations.

They are humans too. How do you think they feel when there are multiple people constantly yelling and complaining to them. They are doing the best they can

Just got back. Here is the rule on FGs. The entire ball must pass inside the outside edge of the upright.

That's where the NFL differs from NCAA....in college, the ball must be ENTIRELY inside the uprights

It happens at literally every premier league soccer game. Sometimes (maybe one in two games) you'll get a chant of

"The referee's a wanker"

or

"You don't know what you're doing"

Not trying to justify the abuse but it's not unheard of elsewhere.

I feel bad for the refs. They are being hated because of Goodell's stubbornness. I'm sure they're good people and are good officials in the other leagues that they normally officiate in. But they are out of their league now.

If past history holds, BB will suspend Goodell for at least one game.

You need to direct your anger away from Goodell and onto owners. Goodell can't cut the deal without their support. They locked the refs out, not Goodell.

you sure?
I'm about 100% the rule says that the ball has to travel "through" the uprights. Yes, they do extend up into space, but through and directly over are two different things.

I remember a big deal being made when LSU lost to AU in 2004 because AU's extra point went directly over the post.
