A lot of people will argue he didn't play long enough as he only played 7 full seasons but statistically he probably has a first ballot resume.
7x Pro Bowl
5x 1st Team All Pro
1x 2nd team All Pro
3x NFL Alumni Association LB of the year (As voted by former NFL LBs)
What do you think?

I’m all for it. The Hall IMO should be for the players that were the best of the best. Not the stat padders like Eli.

I feel better about his career length than a Tony Boselli.

This is what HOF accolades look like
3x pro bowl
1x all pro
2x 2nd team all pro

He was the standard for his position for the better part of a decade. I have no issue with him getting in.

Should've been a greater career than he ultimately submitted, dude was like the modern-day Dick Butkus out there, no problem with enshrining him first ballot dude was a BEAST

Yes. Should be no debate on this one.

True story
I met Willis at a Campaign ralley for Trump. The guy is actually a huge conservative. He said one of the main reasons for retiring early was he couldn’t stand the crazies out in San Fran

If Terrell Davis got in, Willis should easily.
He still had another few years, but he left the game on his own to avoid further injuries.

Yeah. I said when TD got in that he shouldn’t have. Of course, I was eviscerated here. I think Willis deserves it not just because of his accolades, but because he was also probably the most dominant linebacker since LT.

He dated my friend Sara Lang back in 2010.
Her and I worked together at Public Strategies in Austin.
He seems like a nice guy.

Good comparison actually, as Butkus only played 8 full seasons himself. But like Willis, he was the best of his time.

I've got lots of PWillie stories/interactions from Ole Miss and they're all positive. One of the nicest dudes ever.
Absolutely deserves to be in the HoF.

You either have to be elite for your prime, or great for an extended period of time. He was elite, he should be in.

It’s not a great idea to put people in boxes but I would have thought he’d be pretty left leaning, considering his childhood.

Last guy that would murder someone...
Then again, I've thought that about others

He was supported by some incredibly charitable and generous middle class Southern white folks in high school and throughout college. Him and his siblings lived with one family (who I think adopted them). These were and continue to be his mentors. Also had several other families that supported him.
One of my buddy's dads paid for a headstone for his mom's grave site I believe.
ETA:
My point being, the people who provided guidance and mentorship to him for most of his life are probably the opposite of left leaning.
