What is he wanting us to think here? Pat you aren't a salesman out in the road trying to meet quota and put food on the table. You made nearly 30 million in tour earnings plus who knows what I'm endorsements... Stay home that that week

Since 1988 and 515 events. That’s the definition of a tour “ham and egger”. While I won’t weep for him. Realize he is making about 800k a year averaging 58k per event. I get it. He has spent a ton of time away from home. And 88’ to 95’ were some leaner Pre-Tiger years. And the last 6 with him over 40 have probably had some dry spells.
He is a travelling salesman. The cut being his quota. If he makes “quota” he is a wildly over paid salesman. I get it. I don’t like it. But I get it.

He’s so full of shite. He said later in the same press conference he’s been talking to LIV people since 2019 and bragged about being on the inside before the media was even talking about LIV.
He was actually rude to several of the press members who weren’t even asking him cutthroat questions. He tries so hard to sound cool.

In fairness, his wife went into labor during the first event on the fedex cup playoffs. He barely made that field so had to play to advance

Going to be interesting to see how the LIV fans take Freddy coming out hot against LIV.

It may well be the most honest answer but being offered a ton more money and also enjoying better benefits aren't mutually exclusive either.
If I'm given more money on a different job and they throw in twice as much vacation time, the company car, a better school system for the kids, and more responsibility to bring out the inner manager, that doesn't count?
These guys are being honest. They have mentioned a much better financial system from the start. They'd be crazy to not appreciate that perk. But schedule, working environment, and group play have been some of the perks also mentioned.
