In all seriousness, you need to go back and read some of those threads during the early winning streak. Braves fans on here were just excited and people were venomously ripping into them for various reasons. All said the success wouldn't last. Hence the point of me starting this thread in response. Hence me bumping it now.
It's a sports message board. This is part of the fun. I only know 1 person that posts in these threads IRL. This is a fun outlet. Embrace it.

How did you guys take 2011? And what do you expect when the Braves are going good and new threads are started like JUpton is the GOAT in April.

I'm petitioning to have your name changed to FBF

I was sitting in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in July 1968 when Hammerin' Hank (the *true* HR King) hit home run #500.

Alright man. Enjoy being miserable and thinking Chris Johnson is the new Pete Rose.
TH, trade this guy. I've done all I can.

Why didn't you bump this thread when the Braves were playing just above .500 ball before the ASB since June? Oh yeah, cause you were too busy being a bravetard
Am I supposed to be impressed that the Braves are going to win a bad division with a record of 24-20 against teams playing better than .500 ball?
As was my point at the beginning of the season, let me know when you actually win something important; Preferably a playoff series.

We've really been pretty shitty lately...

Nats are winning again today. O/U our lead will be down to 3.5 games at the break? Sadly, I'm taking the under....

I know Fredi sucks, but I've come to accept that this team is pretty average. Oh well....

Check the record bro.

I know the record. All the little bravetards were pretty quiet before the ASB and some were even having mini breakdowns like your boy okie.

There is plenty to brag about. We were supposed to be the step child in the division. If they were to poll 100 "expert analysts" before spring training, 90 of them would have chose the Nationals to win the East and 80 of them would have chosen the Nationals to get to the World Series. out of those 90 that wouldn't choose Atlanta to win the division, I would say 35-40 of them chose Atlanta to earn a wild card spot. So many "experts" gave Atlanta little to no chance to compete. Now here we are in August with a 13.5 game lead in the DIVISION. If you were to add up every other lead in the divisions it would come out to 14.5. Our magic number is 39, and it's only August 6th. We could have the division wrapped up within the first two weeks of September. Nobody else can say that at this time.

Quiet? I've been posting in about every Braves thread for 3 years now, win lose or draw.

am I supposed to be impressed that the Brewers have the 4th worst record in baseball?
braves lead the series with the cards 3-0, pirates 4-3, won the series with the dodgers 5-2, and won against the reds 4-3. so that's 16-8 versus the current NL playoff teams.

Can someone link me to comparison of all MLB teams vs teams with .500 or better record? I can't find it on my phone.

All credit to Dad since I was only 5 years old.

Didn't know much about baseball back then, but I knew about The Hammer.

Found out when I got older that Joe Torre was the Braves catcher in that game. And, since they were playing the Giants, I also got to see Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, and Bobby Bonds.
