That’s what they did to us after Katrina — at the Eli Manning led Giants in prime time if I remember correctly

Before the whole move to LSU thing happened

Yes it sucked

That was a lost season

Then we got Drew - so we’re good now LOL

I’ve seen people say It’s a somewhat recent rule change but I don’t know how recent considering the Saints were threatening to play games at LSU just last season

Will the game be a sellout in Jacksonville?

Did I read that all the gate receipts will go to the Saints?

I'd guess that it would have sold out in Green Bay.

Which would have done more for the Saints bottom line?

I have no clue, but I spent some time with them at Millsaps and at a game in Jackson during the 06-07 training camp, and prior to that a game in Independence Stadium. Granted both of those were pre-season games.

The Chargers called an MLS stadium hope for 3 years, and every stadium he listed (Cajun Field, Joe Aillet, Tiger Stadium, Memorial, Veteran's, Independence, Liberty...) seems to be more qualified to host an NFL game from field to media than an MLS stadium.

a win, which is more likely at a neutral site than at a road game

Is there more quotes from him showing him mad/not happy?

Sounds like a pretty standard PC response. “Sure we would have loved to have it here blah blah”

Nope, I think that's it. Him saying they didn't have any input into it but of course they would've loved it in Green Bay.

That to some Saints fans equals skyscreaming

He’s flat out bitching about not having input. 100% tone deaf. Take off your anti-Saints colored glasses.

ETA to add the actual full quote

quote:

“They worked with us but, with this being a New Orleans home game, there wasn’t a lot of say from our view,” Gutekunst said. “Loved to have had it here, though. Would have been nice.”

They could also play it in St. Louis which is close to the halfway point between New Orleans and Green Bay and would add the element of giving the city and fans in St Louis another chance to host an NFL game after the Rams left.

Why would they want the halfway point? It should be as close to New Orleans as possible.
