Admin looked the coach in the eye and said the grounds for your suspension is you sat the kids too long? Is there more to the story from the admin side? Seems like a weak reason for a suspension.

Right. I hate to ask but is there more to the story?

Why even speak to the parents? He's weak...doesnt deserve threats, but hes weak. I would ban the parents from the stadium until written apologies recieved, thru the police department.

My first thought was that there has to be more to this story as seemingly, there is no way an administration tolerates threats and actual destruction of property over playing time.

My second thought is this, parents are fricking ruining sports at all ages for kids.

Disrespecting any of our hs. Football, baseball, etc coaches would of been running till you can't walk or bear crawls in full pads till we puked and couldn't move no more

Good Lord parents ruin everything. How are you not embarrassed as an adult to act like this?

How would you enforce this? You administration had chopped your balls off already. You think you can do anything from that point? Coach did right. He was left with no choice, sounds like a volunteer position anyway.

The admin wouldn't back him up and suspended him instead of the punks.

That's when you tell them to frick off and let the AD/assistant coach try to win another state title.

You think a high school athletic coach has that much power?

Tires slashed and threats to his safety for benching a player? You fricking right they can ban parents from school property.
I wouldn't quit! Id bench them and see what's up. Then, if needed, file protective orders against those dumb enough to threaten

It's probably that these dumbarse parents think the coach is destroying their chance to get a cut of $8 million through their kids' future NIL payment at a P4 school.

It's not just parents confronting coaches. A good friend, a former upper level high school head coach, said that parents confronting refs has been a growing issue as well. To the extent more & more of the experienced refs are retiring. Leading to all the negatives re the current state of poor refs in college football, basketball, too.

My vehicle was vandalized last week at a Junior High game. I didn't even ref the game, I was the clock operator in a blowout

To do what you want, the administration has to back you up. They didn't

A protective order is just a piece of paper. The morons already vandalized his car, you think a piece of paper is going to stop them?
