Look...he's not wrong, he is correct. But maybe word it better? There are a lot of Tulane folks who are coming out the woodwork to bag on him, while also admitting that he is correct.

There are already Tulane alum taking the bait and saying they need to hire someone that really really wants to be at Tulane etc.

Terrible route to take. Hire someone that wants to get to a better job, and do that again and again until Tulane is the better job. Don't do what you did with Scelfo back in the late 90s

Sounds like they weren’t committed to his vision for the department and he threw shade on the way out.

He probably upset dozens of their alumni.

What happened to the baseball program? They had a solid program early 2000.

That’s college sports in a nutshell for you these days. Hardly any professionals left.

he would not have gotten the WA job without the recent success at Tulane. Saying anything other than thank you on the way out is classless and weak

You’re not wrong. I don’t know much about his time at Tulane. Were there issues or a power struggle?

What National Championship is he thinking he will win at Washington? They have a top 3 QB this year and no one thinks they are winning it in football.

Plus Tulane should just claim a share of the '98 title, voted #1 by Where Y'at magazine. It's only slightly less legit than most pre-color tv titles.

Tulane has won a NY6 bowl more recently than Washington. He also apparently did jack shite to push Pratt for the Heisman while starting doing shite for Penix the moment he got to Seattle so it kind of feels like he was one foot out the door which is pretty shitty on his part.

All he had to do was say "I loved my time in New Orleans and am now ready to take on a new challenge." He didnt have to be a shithead about it.
