Ryan Day had an armed guard outside his house for 24 hrs after last years loss.

That game is more important than another title (not really but it is important).

No it’s not. It’s just a game. Sure, to Michigan it’s their Super Bowl but Ohio State doesn’t care. They have bigger goals. And I’m a GT guy who gets to play a Super Bowl every Thanksgiving which is because we are the lesser team. Only the nobodies live for 1 game a year.

The winner of a rivalry game will celebrate for one night and then move on unless the6 have nothing to move on to.

If they’re 11–0 at that point, I agree, I think it’d be really funny

This is why the playoffs suck.

The playoffs will prove to be the greatest iteration of college football ever. It will just take time for the older generation to die off and the younger generation to take over the sport. The days of games in August and September defining a season are over. If you want games like Michigan-OSU, Auburn-Bama, Florida- FSU, Georgia-GT to matter then both teams need to build up to make a 16 or 24 team playoff. Then those games will really matter.

Right now, many of you are just living with nostalgia in your head. The games are still fun and people are clearly still willing to spend disposable income on games that don’t really matter so just enjoy the ride. Texas-Ohio State was sold out but it ultimately meant nothing as both teams will make the playoffs.

They ruined the respect of the rivalry by spitting in the face of everyone and cheating hundreds of football players and coaches across the country out of opportunities.

If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying. Folks are mad at Michigan because they had a system that actually worked unlike many who paid players under the table only to see a lot of those players not pan out or get fat. That’s why I love NIL - so many teams are just wasting money on players. I look at Auburn who bought my teams WR. We haven’t missed a beat and Auburn wasted money and the player is now living in obscurity. I love it all.

Resting your starters in a heated rivalry game and against a team that JUST beat you last year would be insane

OSU will probably still win with their backups.

It sounds like Ohio State is playing it cautiously with Smith and Tate, especially with the playoff race on the horizon. If they're out again next week, that would definitely be a big loss, but it could be a smart move to give them the time to rest up. Especially since it's better to have them 100% for the playoffs than risk further injury for a regular-season game.

I think they shouldn't even get on the bus to go north

Saiyan should sit, and IU should rest Mendoza too IMO. No reason for them to need stats this weekend for any trophy race.

Holy shite. You are scared.

I have nothing to be scared about. It's a game played by 18-23 year olds that I have no control over.

I stayed on the Ryan Day wagon when almost everyone jumped off, and I was right.

This game will be over by 2:30 central and by 2:45 I'll be watching another game regardless of the outcome
