My cousin plays there now. He says Davenport randomly repeats to himself "I have 4 months to put a resume' together" to keep firing himself up. If he stays healthy he is highly motivated and should kill in that conference

Why are you so mad? Davenport couldn't break into the 2 deep during his time at LSU and is now dominating Tulanes 1st team O-line. He lowered his competition and is doing well. I'm happy a La kid has found success before his college career finsihes, regardless of where it is.

Chris Davenport is still around? What is he, class of '01?

Not that far fetched of an opinion, I've seen multiple(4-5) sites predict Tulane in a bowl game. They have added a good bit of talent and are playing a really weak schedule. Weakest schedule Tulane has ever played, IMO. They should definitely start off 2-0.

Why do you say that about CJ, LE?

Listening to him talk. He just doesn't have "it" and it's pretty obvious.

Even thru his quotes in the Times Pic. It's like what is this man trying to say?

I just think he is more of a rah rah position coach than a head man. His recruiting has been solid but lets see how it translates to game day.

they do have the former head coach for the VooDoo, Mike Neu, on their staff... take it for what it's worth

i know i watched the voodoo too much when i recognized him with full facial hair 5 years after the original VooDoo folded and him and some other coaches were at CiCi's Pizza right across from the Saints' facility

Mike Neu is pretty good, did a great job with Ryan Griffin.

CJ was never even a coordinator so I think yr one was about him learning how to be a gameday coach. Lets see how he manages a game in yr two. The good thing is hes already put more effort into the job than toledo and scelfo ever did.

I actually think Davenports size alone should help him have a solid yr against smaller, weaker CUSA linemen. However, Tulane may have one of the worst offensive lines in D1 so I wouldnt put too much stock into what hes doing in practice.

It was last year. But most of those guys hadn't played much so they can improve. Some were solid recruits when signed, some weren't, so we'll see.
LSU has churned out a series of 1RD on the DL, so I'm willing to believe that Davenport is still a quality DL, despite his inability to crack that rotation.

The talent should be good enough to win more than we lose in this league. Whether CJ can head coach is a question. He sounds better this year....he's barking about them a good bit, instead of gushing praise, which is a good sign to me. No use beating on players if they're purely hapless.

Bama shut out LSU in a national title game and LSU's two "titles" are beyond cheap particularly the 2 loss saban/bama built team that the mad retarder managed to win it all with.

Yep - the LSU football program sucks and our coach is a retard. Good luck building your program with our rejects Greenie.

Yea thats the best part of it. 'LSU sux. The program is a joke. But ur third teamer is our starting defensive lineman and one of your scout teamers is likely to get some PT for us.'

exactly. no one cares about 2003 because everyone knows USC would've stomped you. You barely eeked by oklahoma. That same team with an adrian peterson upgrade was demolished by USC. And who cares about the 2007 season, LSU shouldn't have even been in the game, and a 2 loss champion? please. NTM that team was built by Alabama's head coach, might as well add that one to Alabama's 2,000 national titles filled with undefeated seasons and beating the shite out of the best team to win it all.

whatever helps you sleep at night. That is all you have for 13 years, alabama has that and then one for a 4 year period add that to their 500 NC. They would need the amazon to shade those trophies
