There's been no reporting of this only an article in DMN saying Texas may target Luck.

The next AD at Texas won't be Luck IMO. It's going to be somebody like Larry Scott who was brought in to market and grow the brand.

Love the hire if it's true, LOVE it. But I've heard nothing from any reporters I'd expect to hear from if it were true. So until I see something a little more concrete I won't get to excited about it.

That site is a blog. Every thing Jeremy Simon has ever said is wrong. Him and "the dude" have no sources

Good sources from the Texas side are saying it's Luck with an agreement in place.

I like Shaw... a lot. But he's not coming to Texas - I believe he's already said "no" twice to us through informal channels (i.e., agents). He's a Stanford guy.

If Oliver Luck becomes the Texas AD he needs to be removed from the committee that picks the Teams for the NCAA Football Playoff.

While I agree - is it ok that he stays on the committee if he's at WVU? Either it's ok that he's on the committee AND the AD at a BCS school or it's not. Actual school shouldn't matter.

I would be fine if there was a rule that says no acting AD can be on the committee - that just seems common sense to me.

Its one thing to have an AD on the committee that has no realistic shot at making the playoff.

And then he can bring Holgerson in to take Brown's spot, and Texas is all set.

You've seen Texas play lately right?

I joke but I get it - I just think they need a bright line rule that no acting ADs are on the committee, regardless of which school they work for.
