They have a right to do it and people have a right to disagree. In my opinion I wish these “woke” athletes would be the change they want to see instead of making superficial symbolic gestures that just provoke and piss off people. Cheap symbolism is way easier than having to put your ideas on the line and make an argument

In all seriousness, what would you rather they do that would give them a similar platform?

Because if they had, instead, went out and counterprotested against the Confederate group chances are a lot of people would still want their scholarships pulled.

Thankfully we don’t live in a dictatorship. I’ll take the peaceful protest over something far worse.
