Old man shouts at cloud in Pittsburgh

This is a week old (and I did a search on key terms and names and nothing came up), but the first time I heard about it.
Ronald Acuna offends Pirate's TV crew by being himself (LINK)
Old Grandpa morphed from "yeah, back in the day ya got hit for that stuff and ya deserved it!" to "yeah, maybe the pitcher didn't intentionally throw at him" to "how DARE that Acuna think that the pitcher intentionally threw at him! PRICK!" within a span of 60 seconds.

Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is a magnet for inside fastballs - and, it seems, announcers who hate how he plays.
Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Pirates analyst Steve Blass made a point to comment on Acuna's jewelry, which came out from inside Acuna's jersey after he took a big swing. On the next pitch, Bucs pitcher Steve Brault hit Acuna in the left elbow with a heater.
As Blass and play-by-play announcer Greg Brown viewed the replay, Blass mentioned that hitters who played with Acuna's swagger "back in the day" would have received similar treatment. Brown said he didn't believe Brault's pitch was intentional, and Blass agreed. There's a question over whether Blass called the 21-year-old Acuna a "prick" toward the end of the clip.

I laughed pretty hard at that. The most old man, back in my day, get off my lawn thing I have ever heard.

Back in the day we took the game seriously and knew you didnt have fun out there. Gosh darn hooligans.

I don't really have a comment on the announcer, but it always surprises me when dudes are running around with huge chains playing baseball. It seems like it would be extremely annoying.

My god, that was ridiculous. I now hate that guy

the best part about this was that the Braves took BP not even a week later while wearing some white tshirts or something rather than their typical BP shirts. Not a word was said.
This year Joe Simpson has been relegated to radio duty for about 70% of the season and fills in on tv sparingly.

I forgot about Joe Simpson and the batting practice thing. He's still better than Frenchy though.

I don't care because it's just the reality now and I'm a huge fan of the MLB. But there is a reason restraint and humility was valued the way it was in our sporting culture IMO. Also one day most of the people on here will be bitching at kids too.

Frenchy leaves a lot to be desired.
Honestly, if they would simply just switch the radio and the tv crews, the result would be 100% better. Jim Powell and (now) Ben Ingram are fantastic.

That is clearly what he said.
This thread is as stupid as Acuna's Mr. T impersonation.
Watch me drill this guy on the elbow guard.

Joe Simpson is the antichrist. I have not met a single Braves fan that likes him. I've hated him my entire life.

Yeah that's Pittsburgh Joe Simpson. What a douche.

He's the best PBP guy in baseball.

Nice bat-flip by Acuna on his grand-slam vs. the Pirates tonight.
