There is an extremely large chunk of the population (mostly of a certain demographic) that is adamant that he is innocent, and would love for them to be trolled.
No one really believes he is innocent. That demographic you refer to knows he is guilty. The trial became an absurd referendum on race, and some blacks celebrate it as a victory over LAPD, or law enforcement in general, or white people in general. Also as payback for Rodney King.
The only interesting question is whether his son helped commit the murders.

His agent/friend said that OJ told him that "if she hadn't opened the door with a knife in her hand she'd still be alive."
If we take that at face value, sounds like they may have had some kind of disagreement over the phone, then OJ comes over, she grabs a knife and attempts to protect herself when he comes over to abuse her again, except it went too far that time.
The problem with that theory is that the murder took place by the front gate, a good distance from the door.
No one can really say what happened but it looks like she came outside to the gate and that's when she was attacked. And yeah, Goldman happened to show up in the middle of it all.

This. Didn't the lone black male on the jury stand and hold up his black power fist after the verdict? The whole thing became a "win one for black America" trial instead of a murder trial.

NOt sure bout the jury holding up the black power salute but they did go to the post verdict party at O.J's house afterwards. The Rodney King effect can not be discounted & the documentary got into that in great detail. Sad that he will still get his $250K NFL pension money when he gets out.

You know the man who has to sign that check goes to vomit every time he does it.

Simpson had also just gone through a military knife combat training program with a personal Navy SEAL instructor just a few months before the murder. OJ also purchased a 15" razor sharp stiletto at that time (never found).
The area inside the gate where the scuffle took place wasn't much bigger than a phone booth with maybe 3 - 4 feet before steps up to the condo. Nicole's body was already down so there was just no room to fight off a larger, trained attacker.
There was a lot of blood on the bricks but Nicole's body had relatively little blood on her legs and torso. Looked like Goldman had none on his jeans and or his white sneakers. Bottoms had dirt and mud.
Someone who is military trained in knife combat, especially when it was said Goldman was restrained from behind, could work pretty quick. Nowhere to go... the wound to his heart probably came around his side. With a would to the neck and then the heart, unable to breathe, a man is going to leave the fight quickly. They said the most Goldman could have fought was a minute and probably more like a fraction of that.
Does seem like there should have been more blood on the killer but looking at the victims, I can see why there might not have been. Coroner also said that the killer came back to Nicole after Goldman's dead. That's when he nearly decapitated her and the juggler vein was severed. The bruising on her brain indicated she was out cold from a massive blow before her stabbing. The killer may have avoided a lot of splatter.

PeeJ, you hit that one on the head.

I still can't bring myself to believe OJ did it. It is too much of a mental and emotional leap from watching a childhood idol jump over luggage in Hertz commercials to accepting that he nearly decapitated two people in a premeditated fit of rage.

He had a history of domestic violence. Not a stretch at all. In reality, he isn't a really nice person.
Hell, he may not even remember murdering them in his uncontrolled fit of rage.
