Also analyzing DNA evidence was relatively new at the time and the Dream Team presented a magnificent defense poking holes in the forensics team’s conclusions which goes to your point about mishandling the crime scene, that’s what got him off not the race card stuff bantied about but framing it in that way surely resonated with the public and jurors.

At that time I seem to remember most people saying Payton and Brown were the best ever. Although, when the whole Bronco incident took place, my Dad actually did say OJ was the best he ever saw play.

I remember watching OJ with the bills. He was amazing.

Lydell Mitchell was great with the Colts too.

Barry Sanders was the most elusive ever and Walter Payton and Earl Campbell were the toughest by far

I never saw jim brown so hard to compare

OJ was on the 4X100 relay team at USC that broke the World Record.

That's how fast OJ was.

Jim Brown was considered the GOAT before OJ.

Jim Brown still is considered the GOAT.

OJ was an amazing RB and his playing career is always overshadowed by what happened in the 90’s, but he was never considered the GOAT.

He had a jury that was intellectually challenged. He had a lawyer named Barry Scheck who is maybe the greatest criminal defense lawyer of all time create a reasonable doubt that the evidence wasn't handled well. He had a lawyer who got the jury to believe the only way we could get the historically racist LAPD back for what they did to Rodney King, Latasha Harlen and many blacks is by letting this uncle Tom who has never been to the ghetto since he was a kid free.

The prosecution played the domestic violence card when they jury didn't believe that didn't show he committed the murder.

OJ is the luckiest human ever. Who else would not kill themselves when they are about to be found guilty for murder only to have a "racist cop" find the murder gloves and be set free

Still the fastest to 2,000 yards in a season. Only took him 14 games.

Jim Brown was a beast at running back. He was fast, elusive when needed but brutally tough enough to run over defenders like they were kids playing men.

He did a hell of a lot in his short career and set the bar high for running backs in the NFL.

He was found not guilty because the LAPD severely mishandled the crime scene, Mark Fuhrman got caught lying under oath and had to plead the fifth to avoid perjury, and Marcia Clark & Chris Darden looked like incompetent amateurs with OJ’s all star group of attorneys in the same court room.

the most amazing thing about that documentary was how no one took any blame in that case, etc.

you had Marcia Clark taking shots at Fuhrman, Fuhrman taking shots at Vannatter and Lang, Lang taking taking shots and Fuhrman& the jury.

no one really accepted any responsibility in that whole mess.

i guess cause so many different people fricked up.
