How many times do I need to say I don't believe in conference titles auto get a team in?

And if you can explain to me what Alabama has to do with Florida's division, I'll entertain y'alls hypothetical.

And what the hell does head to head have to do with anything if the 2 teams in question aren't being compared for a playoff spot?

I've noticed that the only response he has given to anything I've said is "Holy shite"...

I don't care about any of the stats given and I don't care about OSU beating Oklahoma and all that garbage... Win/Loss record is the first criteria then everything else.

1-Loss > 2-Loss

I do not see how you can ignore it. Is it the end all be all, no...but a road loss against PSU looks better to me than a home loss.

BR is a tough place to play. So is Tuscaloosa(mostly because Alabama is good, not really because of the invironment). But both teams beat each other on the road all the time. In 2014, Alabama was noticeably better on the road.

I'm not arguing that there isn't a difference in playing on the road and playing at home. But IMO, from week to week, team to team, and stadium to stadium, it's too subjective. Plus teams can't control where they play in conference.

Did I miss you saying UF goes in over Bama if they win Saturday?

Seems you said you would entertain the scenario if somebody told you what UF's division had to do with Bama

I sure hope Wisconsin wins Saturday

Ohio State got their buts kicked by Michigan at home. In my mind they lost that game. OSU does not belong.

I do get a bit of Schadenfreude from seeing it happen to Harbaugh but that is another story.

What's the point of championship games?

Expansion is coming. I can't see how anyone is happy with the current system.

no but they also have the head to head....which is what you have been arguing this whole time

OK sorry, they both won their division. OSU tied PSU in the division but due to a tiebreaker PSU gets the nod in the CCG. You forget that they are technically tied.

The is the whole crux of your argument. You will say it isn't and list a bunch of transitive property wins while downplaying home vs away and any other part of OSU's schedule but we all know it boils down to you believe that the head to head and CCG game win is the reason PSU should be in over OSU.

OSU has wins over #5, #6, and #9.

PSU would have wins over #2, and #6. A head to head win over OSU. A division title in the division that OSU is in. And a conference title against the top ranked team in the west division.

Give me a fricking break.

Also. Iowa beat Michigan. PSU beat them by 27.
MSU lost to OSU by 1 and Michigan by 9. PSU beat them by 33.
Wisc took OSU to OT and Michigan beat them by 7. We'll have to see what PSU does, but if they beat them thoroughly, then goddamn, people.

Michigan beat PSU. PSU beat OSU. OSU beat Michigan.

Yes, PSU went to Pitt and lost by 3 in week 2. If they beat Wisc, they'll have 10 wins in a row.

People are insane if they don't think in this scenario, the head to head and division title and conference title should trump the positives for OSU. Goddamn insane.

I hate to agree with ReauxlTide222, but it looks like he is correct.

Eye test bay!

And my eyes told me that tOSU is the luckiest one loss team in the country.

Their victories over Michigan, and Wisky were both the product of divine and referee interventions. It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

So tell me what you think OSU's PSU loss then..? If you are going to reverse wins and losses based on divine intervention, maybe you should start there.

Jesus Christ. Iowa has a head to head against Michigan. Iowa have a chance to make the playoff? Is Florida up in the top 6 competing for a playoff spot? No? Then why is the world would a head to head matter?

Are y'all screwing with me? There are a few teams here competing and being compared for some playoff spots. Is Florida one of them?

All these things we're debating only come in to play when TEAMS ARE SIMILAR ARE BEING COMPARED. I don't give a shite about a conference title if the team who won it has a poor claim to make the playoff.

But what y'all are arguing about OSU and PSU is bullshite. They ARE similar. They ARE ranked within arms reach of each other. They ARE competing for a playoff spot.

That's why I can say their head to head should matter. That's why I can say the division matters. That's why I say the conference title matter.

Gtfo with this Florida shite.

Again you and a lot of people disagree, including the playoff committee. Sure you an say the two teams are similar, but OSU has the better resume.

OSU should be in the playoff. Michigan is the team I would have a problem with (assuming they get the nod over the B1G champ). If for nothing else, they've lost 2 of their last 3, one of which was an unranked team.

Well, this is the problem I have.

I think OSU fans and the committee are committing a crime by openly claiming the Oklahoma game as this top 10 win. A HUGE reason why OSU is comfortably chilling above PSU is because of a complete lie. bullshite.

There is ZERO way to argue that the game against Oklahoma was a top 10 win on the field. And it should be very hard to argue that it pushes OSU over a team who beat them head to head and won OSU's division and then the conference.
