I remember Zona wanted no part of LSU that night. LSU was up something like 40-0 with like 6 or 7 minutes left in the 2nd quarter

You are probably right. Andrews was always on the #1 team. And since they had an earlier game, TBS likely assigned Sager this game. The following year Andrews left to ESPN, so Sager was elevated to the #1 team.

I seem to remember something like a 18 play 90 yard drive that just demoralized Arizona unlike any team I had seen LSU play in years

I think John Mackovic beat us to demoralizing Arizona that night.

Ucla is coming up in a few years. Still won’t be the same as an actual Rose Bowl but should be a cool trip.

I was at sea for most of the 03 season and I remember reading the sports news Radio would print out and seeing the score for the Arizona game and thinking, LSU doesn’t blow out major conference schools like this, we may have a damn strong championship contending team

CU is a fun non con opponent. Destination type trip plus they aren’t that good. We have a home and home coming up with them in a few years

I want to say we were supposed to play them in 08/09 but it got swapped with Washington. We were also supposed to play Oklahoma this year and next but im cool with Texas.
