I agree, a moose is when you are covering the whole game and with little seconds left you get Moosed

My last moose that still hurts was an NBA total. It was comfortably under the total with about 1 min left and one team had about a 10 point lead.

19 points later (yeah.. In the final minute) I lose the under by 1 point.

Not really, you said anything to cover under 10 sec is a moose. But Baylor wasn't covering until 2 mins left

I'm with tots on this one... I don't care if they have only been covering for the last 4 mi or whatever it was... If you lose on the last play of the game, dats a moose to me

UL scored with 6 seconds left... the 10 second number is arbitrary. When the game is over and a backdoor TD happens with a couple seconds left, I would be fuming if I bet the Baylor side

Baylor was the wrong side.

It just happened to lose very late. I would feel more for ULM backers if they had not covered.

How about the UL fumble at the 1...ball hit the pylon which is a touchback.... Baylor should have been up 19

Wow. He actually fumbled that ball and it hit out of bounds before jumping back in play. Shouldve been a touchback and Baylor ball.

The ball hit the pylon.

The wrong side won there. 5-1 on the week.

I thought it had to go out of bounds, after hitting pylon to be considered a touchback??

Not sure. I figured since BtB stated that fact, he knew of the rule. Personally, I have no idea

OTHERWISE, if the runner is airborne, (i.e." leaps or dives")he must hit the inside of the pylon. That implies that the ball crossed the goal line in bounds before it went out of bounds in possession of a RUNNER. If the runner is airborne, then hitting the pylon is out of bounds and the ball is placed according to (2-40-4c) the inbounds spot. Which is probably a few inches before the pylon. The forward point of the ball striking the pylon means that the ball had to be OB to hit the pylon. Where the ball went out is up to the covering official. It is where it crosses/intersects the sideline. From the 2003 National Federation Case Book (Situation 1.2.4 pp. 5-6)

Looks like it would be placed just short of the goal line under this rule and still be ULM's ball.

The pylon is considered part of the endzone. The endzone is considered in bounds, so I would imagine even if it hit the pylon, it would still have to go out of bounds afterwards to be considered a touchback.

Yeah I had an NBA Under where 26 points were scored in the final 2.5 minutes of a 12 point game...including a dunk with 0.1 seconds to lose my under by 1, it was the last game of a $25 6 team parlay that paid out $1800. I'm still very bitter about that.

On another note the only reason I was betting $25 6 teamers is the last two weeks of the NBA Season were all these teams were tanking like crazy...I won a TON of money betting against them.

Word of advice to you Clemson and Kstate backers. In the past few years, when the public backs a dog (which is rare) the dog normally gets destroyed.

Clemson- 61% backed

Kstate- 68% backed

If I could get OU at 14, I would bet 2* on both FSU and OU at -14 and expect to come away with a worst case 1-1

eh....i'm taking KState bc I don't think OU is the least big legit. I think it'll be a relatively close game that OU will win in the end.

not touching the FSU-Clemson game though.
