In particular Onyewu? He has been amazing and after watching Italy, Brazil, and Spain, he's as good of a central defender as I've seen.
Without Onyewu, we wouldn't be in the championship.
He's the reason we shut down Egypt and Spain.

That sucks.
Team USA is actually fun to watch, unlike the MLS.

Do ya'll think this game/tourney can get some guys legit contracts overseas? In particular Onyewu? He has been amazing and after watching Italy, Brazil, and Spain, he's as good of a central defender as I've seen.
I think that the past few games might give Onyewu a better contract, but it probably won't change the types of teams that are interested in him. Keep in mind he is a free transfer, and he has only gotten offers from clubs like Fenerbahce, Monaco, and Fulham.
It's because he has certain limitations, and unlike a lot of the players on this team, he is pretty much a finished product.
I hope that this tournament gives Feilhaber, Jozy, and DeMerit a bigger push abroad.
Bradley and Spector are already highly rated.

I think Benny honestly has shown that he's arguably the best talent we have (out of younger players). He is so poised, has good pace, great skills...if he develops properly, in 2014 (i know long way away) he could be a superstar...that's just my prediction.

I have always wondered why Spector didn't start every national game, but alas that is up to the coaches and their veteran leadership M.O.
This was by far the best Demerit has played at least from what I have seen. Him and Gooch literally shut down the best striker duo in the business.
I am still really fed up with Clarke and Bradley at center mid, they both fly into tackles like torpedoes with their heads down and are much too reckless. I really hope Bob Bradley leaves out Clarke in the final, I am very interested in seeing a different look to the center mid.
Yes Feilhaber is very talented, if only he was allowed to see the pitch for more minutes...
I think he is best used as an attacking mid, not a striker to be honest. Don't know why he has been subbed up top the past few games.
Oh and one last thing, why the heck does Dempsey not get subbed out late in games? He clearly is not fit enough to last an entire game, which is quite funny considering he hardly ever tracks back on the defensive side of the ball. He is a liability defensively, and come late in the game he is too gassed to even attempt an attack.

I'm pretty tired of seeing Clarke in there as well. I think Bradley is very talented and needs to learn how stay more calmed and poised onthe defensive side. However, I will say that when Clarke has played, we've played well. First half of Italy (until the sending off), Egypt, Spain...so I can't argue too much.
Feilhaber is definitely a midfielder who is able to attack and create. When he is given space he is great with his passes and has a very good shot. It's funny, against Italy our only bright spot was him hitting Jozy in stride with a pass of about 60 yards.
I think most of Dempsey's problem is lack of effort on defense. He can play it when he wants. I've seen him make some decent plays. And late in the Spain game, when the ball was cleared downfield and he thought he had a breakaway guess who was sprinting toward the ball? Dempsey. He needs to just refocus and concetrate on what he's good at.

Deuce played better defensively this game. He really is a forward with a midfielder's control. I'm a big Deuce fan, but will admit lately he has coughed up the ball a little too much. Donovan sometimes has this problem and this tourney he's played lights out, on both sides. His defense today was excellent and his fire after Ramos? shoved him down was a great Landy pissed off moment.
