Altidore WILL be a Superstar. He can actually score a meaningful goal outside of North and Central America unlike Donovan.
Donovan is the Quarterback dishing it to Altidore.

Just saw the two goals, and possibly the luckiest thing i have seen in sports in 2009. definitely the second goal.

The more I watch this team, the more I am impressed with DeMerit.

Defender tried to play the ball from the 6 yd box out in possession, should have cleared it first touch, I'll take it

Donovan has a penchant for agonizingly passing up great shots only to pass away a scoring opportunity.
He did it several times v's Germany in the 2002 World Cup and several more times in the 2006 World Cup (a few times against Ghana).
This is the only time that I can recall him passing up a shot he SHOULD have taken and have it work out okay.

Do ya'll think this game/tourney can get some guys legit contracts overseas? In particular Onyewu? He has been amazing and after watching Italy, Brazil, and Spain, he's as good of a central defender as I've seen. Yea, he doesn't have tremendous ball skills but very good instincts and a monster in the box.

he seems like he'd fit in the german league, maybe england. he's not good when he has to move and yeah his ball skills suck

WTF. Bradley is suspended for the final because of the red card?
Posted on 6/24/09 at 6:37 pm to LSUButt
I was thinking the same thing, especially for Demerit to get out of Championship and move up to the EPL. Also I think it's time for Landy to grow up and accept playing for a lower team. Everton or Leverkusen again.
