Some of these camera shots are making me dizzy. Why did they have the fairway camera on Phil's chip, why not the green shot so we could actually see the ball.

No, it's a temporary structure, free drop; happens at every tourney. As the coverage, you just move to the drop circle the USGA provided so you don't have to move a shite ton of people.
