Well, that Avs Wild game was not what I was expecting but it was sure exciting. Next game will be 2-1 after that.

we have a nice history with tampon bay. they knocked us out in 2004 semis.
we swept their asses in 2014. they beat us in 6 in 2015. yes, then the SCF.
we do not have much history lately with buffalo. damn it has been a lifetime since we played them last in the playoffs. semis in 1998. i remember it well. dominator swept our asses. then we swept them in our 93 cup run before that.
hell, we might get swept again. buffalo is real good. and can score a ton.

Just from a fanbase perspective Montreal-Buffalo is going to be incredible. Really looking forward to it. I am on the Buffalo bandwagon this postseason but it is always fun to see the Habs in the mix IMO

it is called being realistic. season is already a success. youngest team in league. average age 25. great experience for them.
zero expectations. All gravy from here on out.

It took Dallas 6 games, which was really seven games with the 2OT & OT games, to score 15 goals on Wallstedt. Colorado scored 9 in game 1. I'm a Dallas fan too and it just sucks how far away we seem from winning a cup.

Avs game was legit INSANE. How do two top five defensive teams play a 9-6 game in the playoffs? I've never seen anything so improbable. Next game will be a 2-1 overtime slugfest for sure.

What's more impressive to me is the completely different styles that the Avs can play at elite levels. They played 4 games of low scoring trench warfare vs the Kings and then switched to a high-flying aerial dogfight shootout to hang 9 on a good goalie with all lines contributing like it was no big deal.
